Let me say I'm a big fan of anime, anime cons, and cosplay stuff. Anime is an amazing medium. There are some cool graems posted in this thread. BUT There are already so many graems, and so much anime out there, that I don't see why more are needed. Unless they legit add a missing expression altogether to the already-huge list that, if you don't know the name of the graemlin to find it alphabetically, is very tedious to scroll through and locate one visually. They already need to be intuitively reorganized, and adding more just exacerbates the problem. But maybe I'm the only one. Maybe I should post this in the suggestion forum. Maybe I should keep it to myself... but fuck it I already typed it.

No its OK.
Thing is with the greams, our graemlin panel is outdated, its an interface from a time where graems were tiny and few in number.
Graems have evolved from simple smileys to miniature multimedia experiences. This is good because netizens are becoming evermore media oriented and a messageboard is a bit of an oldfashioned cmmunication form. Like it or not, the new generation is the TL;DR generation, and peppering a somewhat longer post with a few media graems is a good way to make it more appealing to read.
I think a big appeal of this forum is the incredible freedom of expression we have with our vast graemin panel and the opportunity to have a graem of your choice immortalized.
We need an overhauled approach to the graemlin panel with a larger systematic group of categories so that the categories are smaller, thus load faster, and its easier to click your ways to graems that are close to what you want to express.
If Ythan is willing to code it, minor task, I'm willing to transfer all those graems to the correct categories, monumental POS task.
Its good to have a few Anime ones because it connects the widespread hobby of anime to the Shroomery experience and we have a mostly young demographic.
Its good to have some graems that are subculture specific.

I have zero experience with video editing, cutting, and converting.
I've got a great little (.mkv/.mp4) anime fragment with shrooms, but don't know where to start.
Help an old fool out with some tips please.
I'm on Linux Mint. There's no microsoft or apples in the house.
Anyone can recommend me a good tool, editor, converter, or just a good plan how to go about things?
Much appreciated!
Love, Hanz.

If you have the mkv/mp4 file on your computer, you can use the program VLC media player to make a quick duration cut if necessary: http://www.guidingtech.com/8802/use-vlc-as-video-cuting-tool/ VLC is free, and has a Linux Mint install available.
Beyond that, the website Asante provided an help you sort out the rest http://ezgif.com/video-to-gif
Once the video is uploaded, it will open a variety of options such as cropping the image to make it square, and resize options to get it to fit the requirements. It also allows for duration adjustment, but there are file size limits on the site, so the VLC crop first may be needed if your original file is long but you just need a short scene.
Wanting to make something from the original Ninja Scroll movie, but need to find a new file without the subtitles embeded in the video.

Well, I've been on this for a while now, but I don't think it's working properly on my end. I followed all the tips, did just what the instruction video says, but I keep having broken output.
I'll be looking into other ways to cut the fragment out. For what it's worth, here's the output my VLC generates when I make the cut. Looks like mux errors caused by an unsupported codec. I can play the original fine, VLC just won't cut the fragment out.

i don't really watch anime but i save an unhealthy amount of cute anime girl pics.
There is one show I really really enjoy Attack on Titan although i'm told by contrarians that this doesn't count because it's popular. Or something to that effect.

I watched that entire show and for being so lighthearted and childish on the surface it got pretty dark and had lots of perv cliche scenes like in that gif

Magi The Labyrinth Of Magics is the first series but there is a second part called Kingdom Of Magic or something.
It's a pretty ridiculous show but I really loved the animation and mystical themes. I remember some politics too.
I may have to give it a re watch, I could use a good and (mostly) lighthearted fantasy/ adventure show to get lost in.

I re wathed some of my favorite episodes of SpaceDandy the other night and did some nitrous and oh boy, that was epic
Some of the lines in the "We're All Fools So Lets Dance, Baby" episode really touched me Such a deep show in the most ridiculous of ways.

Definitely worth a watch, if you like ridiculous shows you will probably dig it. Like I said for it's lighthearted surface it gets pretty dark/ serious too.
There is a lot of stuff about slavery and corrupt government's if I remember correctly, damn I am making re watching it more and more tempting
