Species 1.



They were lighter than they look in this second pic, sorry about camera quality.


Gills were a light pink/just off white.


Habitat:
Growing in suburban adelaide, in a large park. Found in fallen leaves/natural mulch, near fenceline.

Gills:
Colour of gills was a very light pink/off white.

Stem:
thin stem, about 6cm, browny/red.

Cap:
small caps, very light brown but patterned. Conical/bell shaped.

Spore print color:
Have not taken spore print, can do if necessary.

Bruising:


Other information:

Species 2.





Habitat:
Same as previous.

Gills:
White/Just off white.

Cap:
Light yellow, flat, about 20cm diameter, non symmetrical.

Stem:
White.

Spore print:
Haven't taken spore print, can if necessary.

Bruising:

Thanks in advance :smile: I'm just a novice so any help is greatly appreciated.


If anybody can identify these just from images, would be greatly appreciated also, but I understand it is difficult.

1 Possibly Mycena kuurkacea. Maybe compare to M. clarkeana and M. kurramulla.
2 Maybe a Tricholoma or something. :shrug:
3 Volvariella is just a guess, would need to see more.
4 Leratiomyces ceres most likely.

Also, is this a sub pin or is it still too early in development tell?

a bit hard to tell but it also looks like Leratiomyces ceres

You're doing OK.

For a Volvariella or Volvopluteus (more accurately here) it would help to see the base - you might not have to rip it up, just to clear away any surrounding mess.

For the second one, unless that cap shape is very distinctive, we would just need more info, seeing the whole thing and anything you could say about it.

Some mushrooms can't reliably be identified on sight alone.

The pin might be identifiable to someone but it is very early.
