It's okay if less Americans can find good paying jobs, we can just raise taxes on the ones who still do:cookiemonster:

Here's Enlil's take on this weakening of the 4th amendment,
(which was barely in the news).

Why are these justices (and legislators) even working after age 65, 75 even into their 80's? :oldman:
Probably collecting multiple pensions from previous govt. positions, too.

Merika, FTW...:patriot: . . . :peace:

It really is a huge break down of the 4th Amendment....and these kids are simply worried about Mexican immigrants taking a job that they wouldn't want in the first place because you might have to sweat. I don't usually play the age card but...I've seen a lot of things happen in this country over the years...all the way back to the Kennedys and Martin Luther King getting shot..but, I can't remember a time when so many (white) kids have had such huge entitlement issues. They ignore things like that asinine ruling on the 4th amendment and get their hackles up when anybody mentions what a douchebag their hero is. It just completely baffles me.:2cents:

Guess who used to work those jobs at decent wages?  Americans!!  I wonder why the wages are so low today?  ILLEGALS!!

As far as I know, many entry level jobs never paid a living wage.

I agree that illegal immigration is a key factor in the persistence of this issue however.

many did, a construction laborer rate n 1985 was around $8/h, more than double the
$3.35/hr minimum wage, sure, most resturants paid minimum wage but those were not
meant as permanent jobs, in 2000 a construction laborer job still paid only $8/hr
and the minimum wage was up to $5.15, laborers now make $10/hr and minimum wage is
at $7.26, day laborers may make minimum wage and some people start laborers at $8,
the wages have stagnated because there's a surplus of cheap, unskilled labor in
the form of illegal aliens.

without these illegals keeping the wages low the fast food and other low paying
industries would have to compete for workers, this would prompt them to pay more
than the minimum wage in order to attract workers, we've seen this in several
markets where the economy is booming such as in he baakan oil fields where
people have abandoned those easy, low paying jobs in order to cash in on a labor
poor market and the companies with the easy, low pay jobs are forced to raise
rates to remain staffed

Construction laborers generally are paid well in part due to it being more dangerous than being a police officer, no?
