silly spore question?
    #23371853 - 06/22/16 10:59 PM (7 years, 7 months ago)

Im currently making spore print form pink oysters mushroom i got today form a farmers market. Good freinds. My question is simple its been 12 hours and the printing is hard to tell if there is any. Always a problem with white spores. Anyway after another 12 hours if i cant see any visable spores can i still use it in agar with tiger drop method?

The worst you could do is waste a little agar so I'd go for it:thumbup:

I really want to get back  to oysters farming. Thanks man. I also plan to waste gallons of agar for work on this culture the next six months. Anyone got any ideas how to store 500 plasty plates .

They dump spores so im sure there are tons. The color is white/pink. You can always go for a tissue sample.

pinks grow mad fast. I started with them with gourmet. I actually just started growing some again recently for shits and giggles.

I'll second the tissue sample idea.

My pinks grew just as fast as my Phoenix, but the latter were bigger and had a better flavor.
