i use the same exact tub for my SGFC. i used 1/4in holes, though. I also have a little less perlite, but the tub itself, works great for me. 5 cakes. a square with one in the middle.
I also had read that you can use a smaller than 66qt tub if you have less cakes, somewhere. and while i am eventually going t oget a bigger, closer to 66qt, tub, this one is working well for moe right now.
the extra perlite might ned to be there, since your holes are bigger than 1/4in. just, for future, get a 1/4in bit. i made mine to spec, and it works excellently. I also have mine on a wire shelve, so it has plenty of room on the bottom, which is also needed, where yours is not very high off the table, but it might be ok.
(BTW, these were misted too much)
EDIT - i just read that you just went and got another, so yeah, use a 1/4in bit this time. you want to do it to spec. think about how much extra hole-space you have on that smaller one. 3/8in is 50% bigger, per hole AREA. multiplied by all those holes, makes for a lot of extra air, meaning way drier conditions.
the god think is that tubs arent that expensive at Walmart.

All done. I now am proud owner of a 66qt Sterilite SGFC with 1/4" holes spaced about 2 inches apart. Perlite is at 4 inches and I have a Sun Blaster 6500K florescent light hanging at an angle over and to the left of the chamber. The cakes were developing nicely in the 27qt- the Hyphal knots were knotting- but I was concerned about performance, and being laughed at hurts my feelings-hence the compliance with the standard Tek!

I just finished building one in the same size (#1757 Sterilite). 344 holes later, lol. At least it is ready to go for future projects.

Nice! And to boot- I`ve got the first pins coming out of the top of two of my cakes! Now I`m trying to recall whether I change anything in the watering/fanning schedule now that pinning has started. I guess its off to the search box.
