So as many of know, I've been dating this cool young chick for a couple of months...which is all good. We have our little scraps once in a while but nothing that I can't handle...the issue is this...recently one of my past flames told me that she has come to the conclusion that she is in love with me and always has been but it's just taken her time to realize it (about 12 years roughly)...and that she wants to marry me and have my kids..etc...etc...she even told me that all she wanted was a Vegas wedding and that she would even chip in $1000 for a ring.
I know most guys would have ran screaming at this point, but the fact is that I have a long history with this girl and if I had to pick someone that I would marry and get old with, it would probably be her...if only for the fact that we know eachother so well as friends and sexually.
Anyways...I told her that I was dating someone right now and that I needed to at least give my present relationship a chance. (and before some smartass says it...I already thought about trying to hook them both up since both are bisexual..but both of 'em get very jealous so I scrapped that shit-storm waiting to happen)
It may sound like this is every guys dream, but trust me...it's hell. Both girls are hot...both girls want to marry me, both girls want kids, and both of 'em give me happiness in different ways, but I respect both of 'em too much to string both of 'em along. I need to pick one...and have come to the conclusion that I've been waiting for that chick to come around for about 12 years...and now she's going to have to be the one that waits for me. If the relationship that I'm in right now doesn't pan out, then we can see what happens...but I don't think it would be fair to dump my present girlfriend without at least giving her a chance.
What do you think?...

You're right, that is a tought one. There's no real correct answer there, you just have to follow your heart, and hope for the best, I guess... 
PS: So what actor do you want to play you in the cheesy chick flick? Not that Hugh Grant guy, I hope...

imagine the perfect wife, not anyone youve been with, just an image of what you want, qualities and what not. now which one of these girls most closely resembles that?
thats a step in the right direction i think... but i find things that happen on their own are much more enjoyable and stable then things i think through.

It never really ended for the simple fact that it never really started...we were just friends that turned into sex buddies with no commitments...but now she wants to settle down and I'm the one that she wants. She doesn't want me as a sex buddy or even as a boyfriend...she wants marriage.

I think that could definitely be a factor...but she's known I've had alot of girlfriends and she never cared before. (or at least she never mentioned anything until now) I'm starting to think that it's mainly due to her biological clock ticking away...she wants a kid and wants me to be "daddy" in every sense of the word...

I'd take a page from Anno's book and rent Amelie, starring Audrey Tautou, of course.  Or Cinema Paradiso. Both very very good as well as chicky.

are you sure you're the REAL Rono?.....
stick with the girl you have, if it doesn't work out then the 12 year girl will be there. But since you're not married you don't have to be faithful to her, you should, but it's not neccessary.

Sorry for my earlier response... I was hungover and not thinking straight. Now I'm just drunk. I thought Rono was asking for advice on what chick flick he should see with a chick, not what to do in a highly improbable situation where he might have women willing to marry him.
But really, I'd go with the known evil (uh, I mean woman) over the not-so-well-known woman. However, I really only know you from your smart ass posts (wait, that reminds me of me) and what you've said about these women. So, in effect, I can't really give you any advice, but simply waste your time. Good luck, Rono. Everyone needs it.
