Eyes are one of the distinctive visuals I get on LSD as well. Eyes on me, eyes all over my cat, sometimes just patterns shaped like eyes.
Other times real functioning blinking eyeballs would grow out of my cat if I dose higher than I intended to. I paint a lot on LSD, and frequently I find myself painting eyes. I don't know why, but it happens to me and wife a lot too, man.

I saw eyes on my last mushroom trip

I see eyes on higher doses of L, especially if I smoke.

I don't think I have ever NOT seen eyes all over things while on (specifically) LSD, and I have used it almost 40 times now.
It's something I have always noticed as well. The eyes seem to resemble like what you would see on a hamsa, and they often manifest themselves as patterns on EVERYTHING it seems lol

Ahh so i am not the only one, cool. Now let's come up to theories of why?
Mine is that the eyes resemble a part of you in a way. like it shows perception to surroundings and the eyes are symbolic for that. or we subconsiusly love our eyes for it brings sight.

I think it has to do with how we evolved. We evolved to have excellent facial recognition, so when you trip it kind of makes sense that you might see some facial features in patterns or objects. Eyes are particularly important as pretty much all semi advanced species (ie including frogs and deer) can detect eye contact. Humans are one of the few species where eye contact isn't a hostile act of aggression, so we often see each other's eyes.
I have also wondered about it from more of a spiritual point of view though, you can see eye symbols in pretty much all civilizations and religions since they began. Maybe eyes are supernatural, or there is an all seeing eye, it's impossible to say. If i'm not mistake, it is one (if not the most) complex organs in the entire body

its our pareidolia. psychedelics have strange effects which raise our pattern recognition in many different ways, thats one of the reasons why its associated with creativity enhancement. one of the ways it increase our pattern recognition is obviously through facial recognition. but i find it amazing how aesthetically it represents itself, it almost looks alien. it didnt have to represent itself so strangely.
this is an example of Acid Flo's arts showing the increase in facial recognition and pareidolia that is experienced on psychedelics.

personally i think it is quite a mystical phenomenon due to the strangeness of the representation. but thats just an opinion of mine.

I always see eyes when I eat enough mushrooms. Eyes were sprouting and blinking out of my fingers during my last trip, it was pretty intense. I can't speak for LSD as I haven't tried it.
I find they often look quite similar to the eyes you see in google's deep dream images.

DeepDream is a computer vision program created by Google which uses a convolutional neural network to find and enhance patterns in images via algorithmic pareidolia, thus creating a dreamlike hallucinogenic appearance in the deliberately over-processed images. - The software is designed to detect faces and other patterns in images, with the aim of automatically classifying images.[4]
When reiterations are run to tease out the found imagery even further, a form of pareidolia results by which psychedelic and surreal images are generated algorithmically. The oft-cited resemblance of the imagery to LSD- and psilocybin-induced hallucinations is suggestive of a functional resemblance between artificial neural networks and particular layers of the visual cortex, a matter which merits further study.

Yep, great explanation there
The real question I have always had is how does your brain create geometric shapes in visuals while tripping? Even with closed eyes. Shapes = math and the fact that your brain can create shapes is so fucking facinating to me.

That's a question that I've been looking into myself somewhat recently. I haven't had a chance to properly delve in, but here's an article that's understandable. There are some technical papers here and also here, although you may need journal access to view the last article.
Be warned that the technical papers are pretty high-level, and you'll most likely need a thorough understanding of mathematics (a BSc or more) and a lot of free time to get on top of it.

Yes, I see eyes every time I trip. A few weekends ago me and a few of my buddies got down on some L. I decided to take a decent sized dose of 600ug (this is big for me). We where just sitting out on his drive way and taking turns riding his long boards down his hills around his neighborhood. When I was resting I would listen to the music playing and just let my eyes go. When I would look into the sky and the entire sky was eyes. It was very Alex Grey-esque. One of the coolest visuals I ever had
very similar to this, but it was just the eyes.

That's a for sure dope visual man sounded like a blast.
I resonate with your username , some dabs and kratom and im a damn sloth hahaha. i want to try dabs kratom and L soon , like 2 tabs 3 grams of kratom and smoking like 4 dabs.

Only time I took LSD, which felt like a lot, I didn't see eyes by themselves. But I saw faces on each of the bricks of my house. And they were all singing the song I was listening to at the time. Which was some song by The Doors.
Twas crazy.

I have experience almost that exact same visual, just not as intense! Often when I look up in the sky on acid, I see patterns made of eyes, and when I look around my arms and legs I will see the same eye-pattern wrap around my skin. I also have these cool slate tiles in my bathroom that show tons of eyes and crazy patterns when tripping on acid

I think the geometry and landscapes and visions involve a lot more than the mechanisms they assume. Not to mention the question of why the re-occurring archetypes. All this stuff is essentially lacking in a conclusion until we figure out the true nature of consciousness and why matter can mysteriously become aware and conscious through us.
