When should I expect to see mold in my jars?

Hopefully never. And I know some are hidden the whole time...but let's just say I did get mold, how long would it take for it to be noticeable? I transferred several agar dishes yesterday and distributed them between 30-ish jars full of sterilized rye berries.
I did a bulk grow before...but literally every single jar turned out good. I have more doubts about my sterile procedure this time and pretty sure I fucked up a couple.
I'd assume it would take about 3 days for mold to make its presence if it is there?

(Grain-to-Grain) Damion5050's Coir Tek (I use 5.5 - 6 quarts of water instead of 4. Also ignore step 13 and ignore the monotub completely. The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary) Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful) Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

not necessarily that quick in my opinion. it can show itself when it wants to show itself. the myc might even fight it off for a while and then it comes later. really i dont know, so i doubt im helping lol. but generally speaking thats been my experience. every jar is different.

it depends. if the mold was hidden on ur plate, it has a head start over mold spore that may have gotten in during xfers.
sometimes u won't see it though in ur spawn.
just watch for weird behavior, its all you can really do anyhow.

Thanks guys. And no, all of my agar dishes looked beautiful, I just messed up a few times while I was in my SAB (or I think I messed up)
I'm sure most are fine though. Wish me luck.

This. If the mycelium stays up late in its room, blasting music, using incense, it's a pretty good bet it's using drugs.
But for real you will learn more by watching growth patterns and responses than you will by just looking for white. Agar really helps there cause you can see really clear what the responses to certain things are.
