First Agar Attempt

Ahoy.
I haven't been on here for about a year. Nor have I been active in the hobby.. I was just about to prep some rye berries when I found the Agar ingredients I never attemped with/used.
Now I have Agar plates that I poured myself. I don't think I did the best with my technique inside my SAB and I also have some condensation.
While this thread is mostly for logging the experiment and for pics, does anyone know how to get rid of condensation in the petris? In the meantime I'll be using the search engine. Once cleared up I'll try to get some pics.
Thanks!

The condensation will go away on it's own.
The only way it would affect things was if you had giant puddles of water taking up space on the plates.
A few drops is nothing to worry about though. I would just use them as-is.
Wait a few days for some of the water to evaporate if you're really worried about it.

i read somewhere on here that stacking the plates and letting them cool for a day while stacked helps with condensation, i tried it myself and it worked pretty good

Once you get going with Agar it is really hard to stop! Hahaha...,I finally found the restraint to make my plates in batches of four for each experiment I run, but I still end up with way more plates than I can handle sometimes! I hope you enjoy this new facet of the hobby, and I hope you use it to hone your craft through great work and enjoyment!

Pour them right before the agar sets and you will get minimal to no condensation which should disapear as they cool in a stack. It takes a bit of practice but failing that you can put something hot on the lid and in a few seconds the condensation should be gone.

I only made four plates cause I thought it would be 10x harder than is was. I couldn't believe how much I overestimated the difficulty. Lol.
Anyways. I did stack them in my SAB and let them sit for about an hour or so. Being my first time I went back into the SAB to check them out and they still had condensation.. I realize now it doesn't go away that quickly.
Now they are wrapped in cling wrap and sitting on a shelf. Still stacked of course.
I figure I'll give it a few days before I check them out but when I do How safe is it? The lids on the petris I have are extremely loose IMO compared to how I thought they would fit.
