A big mess! In vitro fruiting and then some.. Help!

So here's my situation: A friend of mine ran into some issues and decided that it was no longer safe for him to grow anymore. He brought all of his stuff over here and began teaching me. We made up the wild bird seed jars, which are now fully colonized, and he was supposed to come back and help me put together the tubs. He never showed up. He has been AWOL for 4 days. I'm pretty sure my jars were ready about 5 days ago. Today I looked in the closet and some of them already have tiny fruits growing on them! They look to be pretty dry. That may be the reason. plus I was opening the closet and peaking at them often and the room has indirect sunlight shining in on it. . I poured some boiling water over coco coir and vermiculite in 5 gallon buckets about 4 days ago expecting him to be there that day, but he never showed up and its just been sitting in the sealed buckets. Is it usable or do I need to start over completely? What should I do next? Can I use the early fruiting jars just the same as I could have used them before? Can somebody help me out with making the tubs? I know it's a lot to ask, but I just don't know what else to do, and there Is so much different information on here. I don't know what's best in this case.. I have 7 clear tubs with holes already drilled in them. Is it best to line them with a garbage bag? And what conditions do they need to be in and for how long before they are ready to be fruited? My friend had been doing this for a long time, so he knew what he was doing. I had no visible contamination with the jars. There are 38 jars.
P.S. How do I get an avatar on here? I didn't see an option for me to upload a photo. I'm not sure how to use a URL ^_^

Hey there, welcome!
Invitro pinning can be a result of contamination, but sometimes just from being fully colonized. Lights not as big a pinning trigger as being fully colonized is. I've used pinning spawn before. If your worried the pins will be a problem just pick them out.
Look where it says "Welcome Dopestoinfinty." Just below that you'll see "pics". There you can upload pics and assign them as an avatar. To post pics here, just copy and paste the BBC code into the text box that you're replying in.
It's best to use spawn and substrate as soon as is ready. Personally I would re-pasteurize it, or sterilize it in a PC since it's just CVG. Some on here have success using previously bucketed CVG, so it's kinda up to you, but better safer than sorry.
Yes, line with a trash bag. Just unfold the trash bag, not opening it, and you'll have a decent liner that will help reduce side pinning.

I wouldn't. I've used 3 month old cvg successfully with no contams lol I don't recommend that though but 4 days is nothin'.
Also, aren't you worried about your buddy getting busted or something and ratting you out? I would be!

i always end up with more CVG than i need. well not always, but a lot of the time ill make a big batch all at once. i throw it in a large vacuum seal bag and seal it tight. throw it in the freezer and its good to go. thaw at room temp or in warm water and ive actually had it retain almost perfect moisture :p (dont quote me on that)

You can reuse the substrate but if it was I in this situation...i would just redo the sub so you dont have to worry about it during colonization. As far as the tubs go you want two on the sides and 2 on top below the handle area. I use a 2" hole saw i heat on the stove once its hot enough i push it thru the plastic using needle nose pliers. Check out Frank gets things done...he explains it better than I can. I just center the holes the best I can make a mark and its done. You can do this have confidence. As far as your buddy goes, I wouldn't worry so much. Maybe didnt know how to do these next steps or found a nice bed to lay in. Haha i dont know. You have to do this now tho if you want some produce. Its easy you can do it.

personally i dont like using heat on my hole saws, but ive found out through trial and error(and some might think im crazy for saying this), but trying running the drill in the OPPOSITE direction that the hole saw is facing.
you might think it wont end up going through the plastic, but instead it grinds it down PERFECTLY. the other way actually ends up catching on the plastic more and can cause cracks and will be quite hard to get started(can be quite frustrating).
if you dont believe me, just try it. spin the drill left while using hole saws, and i guarantee youll thank me later

Thank you all for replying and trying to help! I have 5 tubs made up and sitting in the closet as we speak. I lined my tubs with a black trash bag, trimmed the bag down, crumbled the colonized seed into some substrate, mixed it all up, put the lids on, put some duct tape over the holes, covered them with another garbage bag and slipped them into the closet. The closet usually stays around 85 degreesF in there but fluctuates a tad bit. I don't have an air conditioner in that room. I wonder if they will be okay in there with those temps.. None of the jars seemed to be contaminated, everything smelled ok. I didn't sterilize the substrate a second time. Hopefully that wasn't a terrible decision, but it smelled fine after sitting for all that time. It was a bit wet, so I added some extra vermiculite.. Hope the results are at least decent!!! Oh and by the way, my friend was absent because he found himself a new possessive girlfriend, and he's just been up her butt. So I'm doing it on my own! Wish me luck. SO grateful for this this site!!! Thanks for welcoming me Y'all Glad to be here
Also: I was left with a few extra jars. Are there any alternative ways to spawn these jars that I could experiment with? I read something about fruiting in the jars. Any simpler, faster ways or just alternative ways of fruiting my extra WBS that you guys know of? I have some cow manure, perlite and vermiculite. Other household stuff too I'm sure that could possibly come in handy..
I'll keep you guys updated on the outcome of my grow!

Take the trash bag off the substrate, no need for that.

It's probably screwed but we will see.

I meant that I didn't sterilize it again after it sat in the closed buckets for 5 days. I poured boiling water on it when I first made it up, and then it was sealed until I opened it up to use it. (I went ahead and edited that to make it more clear).. And well, if you meant that I might be screwed even in that case, I sure hope not!!
And do you mean the trash bag I lined the tub with or the one I covered the outside of the tub with?

Next time just plan to use it asap when it's cooled down. Why wait that long?

just so you know, that's called 'pasteurization' not 'sterilization'. but yeah, 5 days is a bit much buddy. it's definitely not gonna be very happy going into colonization i would think. but maybe itll be fine, coir is fairly resistant to contam im told(CVG right?).
good luck!

Bucket tek isn't true pasteurization but you can get away with it using CVG. And 5 days isn't long at all. Trust me.

I'm still not sure how to post a picture using BBC code. I have no idea what that even is. I'm not very computer educated. If I want to add a photo from my computer to a comment on here, how do I do that
