Nice dude, but is that a plastic tarp for your inipi?
You should go with canvas. Plastic is no good for sweating.

Nah. Tarps and blankets. The blue one is a blanket too. Thanks though. :tongue2:

I kind of got the idea to attach the owl feathers to that one branch and fix it to the top of the lodge at the last second. Just kind felt it.

Cool, it gives a nice touch. Look into making tobacco prayer ties. They're a good addition to add to your inipi.
Red, yellow, black, and white are the traditional colors tied to the sweatlodge. Green and purple can be added too.

Make sure you remove your covers from the inipi after the lodge is over. You don't want to be sweating in mold.

What did you you use for the structure?
If you take young willows and soak them before shaping then you can bend the branches enough to get a rounded dome like traditional inipis are.
Strip bark from young willow sapplings to use as cordage for fastening the branches together.

A rounded dome will keep steam from getting trapped in the top and allow it to evenly spread throughout the lodge.

Acaterpillar

You would definitely dig where I am.

We have ceremonies here all the time.

Ayahuasca, peyote, yuwipi, vision quests, sweat lodges etc.

Definitely dude, I want to come visit sometime soon.
Sorry we didn't get to chill this past weekend, the festival went late Sunday night and my ride had to be back by Monday evening.
The drive isn't as bad as I remembered it so I'm thinking of coming back that way after I finish Sun Dancing in El Paso.

Thinking about taking a dump. It's crazy how our bodies have to expel waste but we deny it that simplicity until we physically cannot hold out cheeks together anymore. I'm going to have to ponder this on my next trip

You know when you're driving home and you really gotta take a shit... How does your butt know when you're almost home. It always seems like if you had to wait another five seconds you
Would have shit your pants.

I actually ended up getting sidetracked while at work and the turds receded back to whence they came.

That sounds delicious. Or I hope so.

I just got up from a cat nap. My legs hurt. I need a massage.

:crankey:

I'm being lazy right now, surfing the shroomery. Maybe about to clean and go thru stuff. I want to get rid of about half our possessions. Less is more and all that jazz.

I want to paint something. Maybe I'll just do that.
