From everything except kratom, which I've only used once rather than daily. Anyone else ever sobered up? Its alot less boring than I would of thought.

I've only drank alcoholic beverages for the past years. Plenty to do most of the time. Kratom was alright but tolerance builds and the withdrawal made me cranky.

Yeah, I've been sober as far as recreational drugs go since Jan 1st. Was hard at first but the more time that passes, the less I seem to miss it. I'd still love to sip on a good scotch or craft beer but I know what will happen if I do. The want to "get fucked up" is pretty much nonexistent at this point though.

With my face against the floor I can’t see who knocked me out of the way. I don’t want to get back up but I have to so it might as well be today. Nothing appeals to me no one feels like me, I’m too busy being calm to disappear. I’m in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear. You can't wake up, this is not a dream. More power to you. Free will. Not one I want to take but to each their own. If you are from the states it was once legally argued that you had a right to put anything into your body you choosed. Not just drugs but food, soda, whatever.
So if you find life more interesting with food and non alcoholic drinks, I respect it.

Not nessecerally more interesting, lot different though. Way, WAY different actually, considering ive been high on something atleast 3 times a week (most of the time more) for the past 5 years.

Truely, nicotine is one drug I cant quit. Quitting drugs wasnt hard (actually, I'm just cutting back a lot, I took 2 grams of kratom today)
I first did headshop kratom last december, started ordering it in march, and that opened up a lot of kratom use for me, I was up to 25-30 grams of bali daily from like march 15- may 3 or 4th.
Tolerance went way down when I quit cold turkey and didnt dose for a month and a halfish.
Im on 2 grams today and feel great. I got like 95 grams left too. But I wont be using again for like a week or two. moderation is key. kratoms probably the only recreational drug ill be using for the next year or two

Maybe I'll use opiates but not for awhile. No weed again or psychs again, ever. I cant mentally handle anything even slightly psychedelic anymore.

Don't ever forget, It's much easier to stay away from the first one than the third...I used that same philosophy to quit smoking and alcohol. But, I learned that lesson the hard way.
Sobriety is not overrated especially if you do some things to bring peace of mind. This peace of mind that I have is the most valuable aspect in my life.

Festivals are great times to trip if they are overnight and you have a "safe" place to go away from the crowds if you feel the need to get away from them. My recommendation for a festival would be L...mushrooms have a higher tendency to whoop your collective ass and leave you alone in a heap. Of course, that is not always the case..but, crowds can have a negative affect on me on mushrooms.

Yeah I know, I've already been down that road. I got tired of ruining my life with alcohol. Tired of doing fucked up shit and regretting it the next day, tired of feeling like shit all day until I had got at least a few beers in me, tired of trying to decide whether I want decent food or to drink (drinking always won), tired of planning my days around getting drunk, just tired of all that shit really so I decided to quit. It was rocky at first because I still wanted to get fucked up but my brain wasn't telling me that's what it wanted. Trying to trick myself back into the cycle with shit like "one won't hurt". Finding myself heading to the beer aisle of the grocery store without even thinking about it and getting over there like "what the hell am I doing here?". For the first few months I had to constantly remind myself I didn't want to drink and why I didn't want to. Because I know I won't stop at one beer or just the weekends or whatever other stupid shit I'd keep telling myself. I'm an addict and am always going to be one so it's an all or nothing thing for me.
I've already been tested with severe stress and it pushed me right up to the breaking point. I managed to not give in and things worked out in the end so I would've been back in that cycle for no reason and hated myself worse. Getting through that made things easier afterwards because when shit is going bad I can just look back at that point and remember I got through that without it and how it wouldn't have helped anything anyways.
I wouldn't say I enjoy being sober, but I do enjoy the clarity and what not.
