Hello,
I was planning to trip this week, I'm going to a mount (2h of bus from where I live) but I wanted to make some mushroom tea since it's more potent. I would make the tea the day before and bring it in a bottle recipient (hiking bottle).
The all process of heat make me quite paranoid so I wanted to know if it's possible to chop the fresh mushroom put it in water and let it sit for 24h in the refrigerator.
Or I follow the classic recipe : simmer one cup of water, wait few seconds to cool a little bit, put the chopped mushroom, and lemon juice or/and mint. Pour it in a bottle recipient then close the bottle (or let it stay open, I thought of closing it in order to have the steam falling back into the tea, but the heat will stay in the bottle and can decrease the potency). Let it cool and then put it in the fridge for the next day.
Thank you

I wanted to know also if I can leave the chopped mushrooms in the tea and not to remove them by filtering ?

The way I do it is boil some water, let it cool down for a minute and put your mushrooms in it. You should also grind your mushrooms instead of just chopping them up for better absorption of the Psilocybin. Now let it soak for 20-30 minutes and the water should contain all of the Psilocybin. If you want to use it for the next day you can put it in the refrigerator (keep it airtight) and I don't think it will lose much or if any potency. You can leave the chopped/grounded mushrooms in the tea of course, but I don't really see the point of that. What I also do is add some lemon juice to my tea when it's still hot, makes the trip come on a little stronger
Enjoy your trip!
