Some grafting questions

Hello everybody, this is my first time posting, so I apoligize if I break any rules.
I have some trichocereus peruvianus seedlings that are about 1.5 months old.

I think the small white one lacks chlorophyll, and I have read that it must be grafted to survive. I intend to graft it to pereskiopsis soon, and this will be my first attempt at grafting, which leads me to my questions:
First, does it matter where I cut the seedling I plan on grafting? (near the roots, near the top, or in the middle) Second, are there any special precautions I should take when grafting a seedling this small to maximize my chances of success?
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.

If you are gonna do pereskiopsis graft make sure it is brand new sappy growth. Woody cuts suck. And keep them in humidity for some time til you are sure they are stuck. You can wrap the top with shrink wrap and use a clothes pin to keep it together. Other than that i dont have much to offer. Its sucks being brand new at grafting. Its all trial and error and even wit so many years experience i tend to fuck shit up.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll just have to give it a shot and hope for the best. I'll update this thread with pictures when I attempt the graft, but that probably won't be for a few days; I'm still waiting for my pereskiopsis cuttings I planted to show some new growth. Right now I'm thinking I'll just cut the seedling where it is thickest, unless someone recommends otherwise.

Cut it a few millimeters above the root. You should be fine.
