Serial Experiments Lain (trippy anime about the Internet & quantum physics)

So I just started watching this really bizarre and abstract show and I am hooked. So far I am on episode 5/13 and it already has introduced some crazy concepts around the internet and further connecting to it as well as some far out quantum physics stuff. The show itself uses really abstract colorful/ trippy animation too and is just all around really interesting if you dig that kind of thing.
Here is a spoiler on some of the craziest parts of the plot so far:
The main character gets a really fancy computer from her CPU enthusiast dad and proceeds to start blurring the lines between internet and reality. A voice claiming to be god explains to her the workings of the universe and tells her she has been prophesied to become more then human by merging with the internet fully. Also the "god" talking to the main character may actually be a entity that exists solely on the internet but has gained enough power to effect the physical world...
Those are just 2 of the most interesting concepts so far but like I said it is very abstract so I can't really explain it better, maybe when I finish it.
Anyways those of you into this kind of thing will probably enjoy it. It is a psychological mystery drama sci fi mystery that has me hooked
Here is part of the main characters crazy modded computer set up:

The quantum physics stuff so far is mainly about the connection between the past present and future and how everything is linked. I don't remember exactly how it goes but "god" tells the main person something along the lines of: "All prophecies will be experienced and all experiences were prophesied" which I thought was really interesting and reminded me of some QP theories.

Let me know what you think! It is one of the more bizarre sci fi anime I have seen in awhile in a good way though for the most part

I got a little more than half way through this one but it's riddled with so much strangeness I didn't make it through. Maybe I'll give it another shot lol

I just passed the halfway point a little bit ago, I am glad I did. It is getting even stranger but it also is getting trippier.
Now there is some alternate personality stuff going on as well as some other really strange twists I don't want to spoil...

I feel like I have gotten the jist of the plot fairly well and what I have understood is pretty crazy, I am still a few episodes away from the end though.
It introduces some really cool conspiracy theory stuff in the second half of the show as well which I dig.

I just finished it and wow, it gets really deep for how abstract and bizarre it is It has a ton of amazing concepts that psychedelics really made me ponder around consciousness and other stuff. I would highly recommend it if you can get past a few anime cliche's I was very impressed with it overall and it seems way ahead of its time.

I will have to buy it eventually too as it is definitely worth a re watch or a few dozen Your welcome for the reminder!
The ending was probably one of the most beautiful and deep endings I have seen in an anime, and the animation is some of the trippiest.
