Grow kit colonised by itself?

Hey everyone
Last week I bought one of those mushroom growing kits for Psilocybe cubensis mexicana you can find online, at headstores, etc.
I've used those things a couple of time before, but this time something happened that has never happened before. First of all let me say that I live in a very hot and humid area by the Mediterranean coast, where average daytime temperature now is 28C (82F) with 60-70% relative humidity.
I intended on getting started with the kit in early July, as next week I'll be leaving and gone until July 4, but instead of leaving it in the fridge, I left it in a wardrobe, still inside the bix. But just today I noticed that, even though I never added any water to the kit (it's not even open yet), the mycelium has already started to colonise and is mostly covered in white now.
Should I let it grow on its own now? And can the kit be left without spraying any water for humidity for 2 weeks, since nobody else can take care of it while I'm gone?
Thanks for any advice you may have.

Not sure how these kits work, do you just add water? Lol. If you are supposed to inoculate them an it colonized without dosen't sound good. If you are just supposed to dunk it or whatever and you didn't it wouldn't perform very well, mushrooms are around 90% water.
Ever thought about DYI, like making your own cakes? Much cheaper than growkits, better chance of success and most of everything is reusable.

Do you have any pics of the colonised part of the kit your describing (the part that you say is all white) you could share with us? This way we can get a better idea of what your dealing with, we may be able to help you salvage some booms from it.
Kits are most times a set up for failure. Not to mention they are quite expensive vs the yeild. Next time you should give making your own set up a shot, it is pretty easy if you follow some simple rules and directions.
Welcome to the forums.

If it's a live mycellium kit let it colonize, give it a dunk and a SGFC would be a good choice. Depending on how it's made, you may be fine leaving it sealed until you get back then dunking and fruiting. If it came with one of those bags to fruit in and you don't want to build a chamber poke a few holes in the bag for fresh air exchange and mist it when the surface looks dry.
You can also put it in the fridge until you return, it will pretty much stop colonizing until you take it out and it will pick up where it left off.

Yes, it appears to be a supra kit, found by searching the made up name.
Read the bullshit they say about Hoffman. Kit is definitely cubensis.
