Do you ever see in the far distant future majority of humans living beyond earth when we could be able to travel to other stars and some living on Mars? And maybe Technology singularity playing a huge part in humanity? If your gunna come here to specifically talk about how we will "we probably kill ourselves" "humans are bad mmkay" please leave I heard that a million times this isn't a self guilt thread where you hate yourself and humans no one cares. Anyways other than that feel free to discuss

I personally don't but it's not completely out of the question. We've made some phenomenal advances as a species. If we put a man on the moon back in the day you never know what could happen a thousand years down the road

I doubt it. Eventually we will probably stumble upon a not so nice life form(s).

If you think about it if Aliens ever tried to attack and colonize our planet just imagine every country currently not allies and hate each other finally re-unite to work together to take back earth. It's almost like a solution to world peace (well for all humans). Something like the film independence day

Yeah. But it also depends on how big/tough they are. Hell they could even be composed of plasma for all we know in which case we would be fucked.

Yes, we have about a billion years left to evacuate earth, by then, I cannot imagine our society NOT advancing enough to achieve interstellar travel

I just dont see how we will keep producing oxygen. A few plants wont be able to sustain a civilization.

Humans account for a tiny fraction of the oxygen consumed on earth. Oxygen levels are fairly well balanced with a lot of feedback to keep levels constant.

Even so we are talking about space. I highly doubt we will come up with a way to make sustainable oxygen for deep space travel.

Really? Look at how far we've advanced in a few hundred years, another few hundred MILLION years and I don't see how we don't advance considerably. Unless of course "Idiocracy" is actually prophecy

Yes really. No matter how long you wait physics is still physics.

Probably not actually. Science heavily weighs against this as a possibility.
If aliens were to exist we'd have discovered them by now, sorry to dash your hopes.

Well, you'd be surprised about what seemed impossible until it was found or created.
We do happen to be sitting quite pretty here in our suitable distance from the sun with water and whatnot.
Next sun, next galaxy.
Coming to a planet impossibly far from you probably sometime.
