Why is the print on the inside of a jar? Why not foil, I wonder? Don't even have to sterilize foil, unlike jars. Moisture is bad, you need to open that up so it can dry. Prep your SAB/flowhood and leave the jar open so the moisture can evaporate.

I've made prints in jars before, but I have a micro pore covered hole so the print will dry.

Could he not just fill the jar with steril water at this point and make spore solution?

I wouldn't trust distilled water. I'd still sterilize it first

I still wouldn't do it like this, your print is never truly clean and by mixing it all together you just mix nasties into every syringe.

A match head sized clump of spores will make 1 syringe easily....a whole print is way overboard IMO

The fresher the spores the more likely they are to produce moisture on the inside of the foil.... I've used ones similar recently and in the past...no contams were present but I agree it does make the print look iffy.

You don't. ... you print fresh spores on foil and place them in a desiccant chamber to rid the moisture. But it won't contaminate if one chooses to just fold it up straight away.

Depends on how much moisture your caps release. I've had prints that ended up like glue. White snot like shit made the foil so sticky I had to tear it. Never happened to me with cubes but it happened to all my oyster prints. I dried them for 24hours but apparently, it wasn't enough.
Spacechild is right, you should only use a fraction of a print for your syringe. If one side is more contaminated than another, all the syringes you make will be effectively fucked. Even sponsors pass out contaminated syringes and some of them go through extra lengths to make sure their prints and syringes are clean.

I dont use damp rid chambers for anything, just let the print dry 24hrs after removing the cap. not letting the print dry is a sure way of letting any bacteria, mold and cube spore that's on the print.
I was just confused at first when you said fresher spores, can't see any other option for getting prints on foil than from a fresh cap.
