Not that I've seen or heard of, they are mostly a northeastern species. We don't have any wood loving Psilocybes in Florida besides stowaways on mulch from other states, which is rarely reported when it does happen.
I think a guy posted about finding ovoids in imported mulch down in Boca or WP a few months back.

No, they like colder weather. In Mexico I find them in ancient volcanoes on beech trees, 1800 meters elevation.

Don't we have gyms in Florida? At least there are supposed to be, I have not seen any yet.

Gyms are not a Psilocybe which is what they are talking about. Yes, you have gyms down there.

stevo said: I have heard rumours of Ps caerulipes being found in the mountains of georgia. They're hard to spot, picky about habitat and do not weigh much, so not the best mushroom for the drugs and more of a just for sport hunt for most of the people that find them I think.
I don't want to say this as a rule for sure, but I never can find gymnopilus here in maryland unless there's week long epic storms and not just a quick sprinkle, even in known spots they usually abort more than anything even in marshy swamp areas and fruit maybe once or twice a year. Id bet florida would be one of the more superior states for these mushrooms, for this reason. Or anywhere it rains a lot. You should consider yourself lucky. Just watch out for them gators!
HEY buddy, whats up? Yeah, them gators are scary. I am gonna keep lookin for Gyms though, lots of guys have found them here.

I'm central coast but we probably have mostly the same species. On pine, palm & hardwood I've found lots of different kinds, many actives...check out these links:

Gyms are not psilocybe??? What?
Gyms, or the genus Gymnopilus is different from the genus Psilocybe. Some species of Gymnopilus do contain the alkaloid psilocybin, but that does not make them "psilocybes;" They are "gyms."
