Considering Moving

So I live in southern Appalachia, I love it here but there are some major drawbacks. It is a big tourist town for old retired floridians that barge in here every summer turning a magical forest river mountain retreat into nothing more than a bumbled jumbled tourist attraction. They've just built a big casino as well making it 10x worse. I've never seen an Asian here except at the fricken Chinese food place until the casino come around. The constant bustle of city cars in a small beautiful town like this kills me and I'm in construction and every day we work on summer houses for some retired ass hat that comes from the city to ruin our rural mountain loving way of life. Another big thing is the cost of living, I work 40+ hours a week nearly every week and I can't afford my own house or even to rent an apartment...I love what this place was but it's losing it's flavor...
However I am looking to move somewhere on the fringe of society but where I can still find decent work and make a good living. I'm a plumbers apprentice now and I'm considering moving next year. My two biggest dreams would be either Washington state or somewhere out in Colorado. My biggest concerns would be economy, gun rights, and cannabis decriminalization would be a big plus. BAre in mind that I have two dogs!
What places would be good for a guy like me? Any options besides the ones I'm considering? Where could I thrive?

Consider the Bend, Oregon area. Or perhaps other areas in Oregon.

Your going to need to find a job that pays enough to live in those areas. It gets pricey out west for everything, far more than the hills back east cost.

Find the peeps on shroomery from oregon and washington to find out places that fit that description. Can't lose.
Isn't Bend an upper class place in Oregon? If affordable that would be an epic place to end up.

Alaska. Jobs have probably taken a hit with oil, but dope has been decriminalized for decades and it is easy to find a little place that doesn't have much tourism.

I love the idea of Oregon but I've heard that Washington is #1 as far job economy. No state tax and higher annual salary on average than any other state with a near average cost of living.

I could see it depending on your line or work but there certainly has been an influx of people migrating here taking up jobs. They are still out there though.
If you want to get into the medical or recreational cannabis industry Oregon has some of the nicest laws I have heard and it can be good money.
Oregon and Washington have a lot in common really, I have always wanted to explore both states more. Parts of Cali might be up your alley too.

Not minding that time's passing by I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free
