hey guys, I checked my tub today and discovered a thick and white type of mold. Does anybody know what kind of mold that is and how I can treat it? I have never seen this kind of mold before.

All mushrooms grown in the wild grow on or next to contamination and other molds.

true. i am just not sure, so i am asking you guys (the experts) better safe than sorry. because I know that some molds can produce some very toxic stuff like aflatoxins which cause cancer. I am worried that eating a shrooms which has been in contact with mold can have negative effects on my health.

You'll know if it's too fucked to eat. It's super rare to see a mushroom itself get nasty growing on it

It is green mold. i tried to cut the part out and i saw the green mold beneath the soil. so i am going to throw it away.
But I harvested some nice looking shrooms (i hope they are still okay to eat). I tossed 2 shrooms which grew directly on the mold. they were already black and slimy on the bottom and came right off.

You will not be eating the mold, relax. Or don't, whatever. I would eat them yesterday.

I would eat them. You're just reading the most scary shit you can find about them, and I'm not even positive on the identification anyways.
