According to Stamets, spawn run for Ps. Cyanescens is 60 days.

If you had spores in hand you could have mushrooms in October, but it is a stretch.

Even better is wanting to grow out side is to plan next year and get a huge amount of spawn done. Doing agar to grain to more grain by next year you have 100 plus good spawn bags. While this summer you get your bed ready with even fresh cow wasted aged and piled high. When spring comes mixed your bed of wasted with corn cob and till then spawn. You know the rest.

At most I would only do two G2G transfers, and I wouldn't sit on the colonized grain for more than a few weeks, it would be much happier outside in a wood chip bed. Worst case you could use that to colonize moist woodchips in your garage till the frost let up over the winter if you start things too late.

I don't see what you mean.

I was thinking a 30 jar spawn period and 60 days outside colonizing the bed.

And even still, this seems optimistic. I start my outdoor stuff in April.
