How should I help this patch?

I am fortunate enough to know of a patch of psilocybe cyanescens that fruits in grass. It only produces a few mushrooms every year, a dozen at the most. I would like to help it produce more. What can I feed it? Is there a good grass fertilizer that is lignin rich or has some other goodies for the cyanescens to eat?

Here's some porn from that little patch. The first, and smallest cyan patch I've found.

Thank you for your help. You guys are the best.

From what I've read, you can make a slurry out of a stem and inoculate some wood chips. I believe (I'm not a woodlover expert) there must be/have been some wood chips there at some point. If you want to keep it going, you should really add spawn to your spot. :goodluck:

Thanks for the reply. I've already used up all my spawn from last year and it's out of season now. Maybe it's a lost cause but I was hoping to feed the existing mycelium some kind of fertilizer. I don't want to overtly put wood chips over top of it as it is not my property. I have permission to tend the patch from the land owner, but I doubt she wants chips in her yard.

Maybe I could put some alder sawdust over it? Or is there a grass feed that has any helpful nutrients?

You may be able to add sawdust. I suspect something is better than nothing. But there are no fertilizers I know of that would work.

It's okay to add spawn at the end of the season, in fact it's often recommended. But as it's not your property, you'd definitely be best off asking for permission before doing anything conspicuous.

Thanks. I'll see what she says about sawdust.
