Not sure if it really makes a difference but it looks like one of your filters is mounted backwards.

it's just the direction they tested it in.  it's actually two 99.97 filters siliconed together.

Pretty cool. What are those things called that you are using to generate that amount of steam?

It has 2 layers of bubble foil insulation and I went back and added 1/2" foam board to retain more heat.  Holds about 205 now vs 170 with just the foil

yeah i had to dump about 15lb of lime out of the bottom and change the elements last week.  that's after about 20 x 24hr runs.  other than that she works like a champ.

Get a drain on it, drain after every cycle. That will also help with reducing electrolysis and rust.

In image 7.  I see a green 6" 400 cfm. inline blower and a 24"x24"x12" Hepa filter.

Is this unit for cooling down your steam room shed or do you run this during your steam cycle?

I see steam coming out of your vent on the roof image 5. Is this vent open during your steam cycle?

Thanks in advance....:takingnotes:

cool down and the vent is just a simple pipe that's always open.  the filters are 2x99.97 filters in series for 99.999 filtering.

I did not realize you could combine lesser filters to improve the overall filter. Was just checking around and came up short, is there somewhere I could find more info on this? Might be useful for making small filters for intake on my chambers

How much was the bagger/mixer delivery? And how far did it come from? Where did you get it?

http://packmfg.com/standard-equipment/mixing/#mush_mix

https://www.ebay.com/itm/11-Cubic-Foot-Ribbon-Blender-Stainless-Steel-mixer-Food-grade-Mixer-Single-Ph/333818379542?hash=item4db9203d16:g:X90AAOSwl6Rf1Qgr

not cheap. for me its easier to add ingredients, sterilize and mix only during spawning. Why do you want a batch mixer? might be worth making a new thread.

I've seen that first link, I was curious to what freight would be, just a ballpark.

That ebay link is pretty cool tho I might need to keep an eye out for something like that!

I'm making 4 40lbs bags of supplemented sawdust a week and it's such a pain in the ass lol. It would be so cool to have a bagger mixer combo. Bagging is pretty lame too..

I got a cement mixer and a big ass tub. But after I put 2 40 lb bags in and bran it's super full, and it's a pain to make sure the edges are mixed evenly along the bottomed esspecially. I think I'm going to get a big cattle feed thing or something tho, it should make it alot easier. And I'm probably just going to build little funnel things out of duct to make bagging easier, and get a more appropriate scoop for measuring. But idk it's not too much. But it would be 20x easier and I could probably do a little more if I wanted.

There's also this thing from meyers mushroom: automatic wet bagger

he also has a video that shows you can make something similar for very cheap.

anyways, its different than batch mixing but im wondering why you would want to mix everything up before inoculating? it seems easier to just add the dry ingredients + water to a bag and mix at spawning.

i think your trough idea is good. even just a few big totes would work, you can use a paddle mixer and a high torque drill to get the mixing done quick. get a flow meter for your hose so you can add exact amounts of water per batch.
