I'm looking for the plastic rings/caps that are used in asia mush cult. Anyone know of a website that sells these?

I second for getting some PVC and use a chop saw with a jig.

Some companies just have no interest in helping out the little guy.
I can't imagine PVC being useful as it goes all floppy long before sterilizing temps.

What about something like this? Not really wide enough to fruit out of but would be pretty good for grain bags I imagine.

That sort of leads to an interesting question... on a quart sized bag, how wide of a hole would you want to fruit out of. I'm talking oysters here... I don't have enough experience to say myself but I dunno 1/2 inch might be enough. I was planning to go with one inch at first to see how it went.
I'm planning to just goto the hardware store to get the right parts, it needs to be snug enough to keep the flies out, but not so snug the plastic won't fit between the two parts.

I bet 1/2" is much smaller than optimal, those bags they use in thailand look about 2" and the roughly quart sized plastic jars they use in asian factories look like they have about a 3.5" opening.

Most of those growers use atmospheric pressure stwam, not autoclaves. A lot of plastic can handle steam...

I just saw a few videos of those asian automated setups with plastic bottles, they look like narrow neck quarts to me, probably 2".
