That thing is huge do you have a link for that filter? I'm thinking about starting on some edibles cause I miss the hobby and want a volatile this time.

Do you have a blower picked out already that matches this filter?

I was actually thinking about that myself. Something to take on vacation to collect wild strains with. I'd like to hear if anyone has any experience with this as well.

LOL the funny thing with my flowhood is that I thought it was the size of a microwave from looking at it online....man was I suprised when it showed up in the back of the truck.
FP's are 24''x12''....those seem pretty small. I'd like to start teaching cultivation courses soon so one that I could carry would be sweet. And wild strains of course. I think I love mycology so much cuz its about as real as Pokemon gets....gotta catch em all

Best thing I've read in months and couldn't agree more.

I've got these guys chillin in my GH just until I get the time to get a couple cultures of them. Not edible. Not medicinal. Not psychoactive. Just damn beautiful and I hope to one day have a fairyland yard.

Whereabouts do you hail from? I'd take one of those classes! Thinking about going out to a Radical Mycology 3 day intensive course in Albuquerque.

Mannnnn I feel you about the RM workshops....If I can ever scrape the $1000+plan ticket together you'll see me there.

Fingers crossed. I live in the north Dallas TX area, but went to school in Santa Fe. I have tried to make an annual trip out there to eat, see friends, and let my soul cleanse since I got my life back in order so it would be sweet if I could do mycology during the day then head up to The Fe and eat Maria's and India House drinking Duel and Second St Brews with good friends (some of whom also happen to be my favorite musicians). This is lining up to be an amazing few days.

Highly recommend putting a 1/2 screen over the filter face. The filter is made with paper and rips easily.

How do you clean the filter with the screen attached?

Clean the filter? You don't clean the filter. It's so fragile you cant clean it. Just let it run for 20 min prior to work and tap the screen in case there's and dust on it.

Okay, that makes sense. Sorry for the dumb question, I assumed it might be like the permanent HEPA filters I've worked with in some air filtration units in the past that you had to take out and clean periodically but I guess the application here is totally different now that I think about it.

If a Hepa filter gets old you just replace it.
