Anyone read The Grapes of Wrath?

I love Steinbeck and everyone keeps raving about how it's his best book. I picked up a copy from the library but haven't read any yet. Something inside me keeps saying its going to be a boring book
It's pretty long and I'd like some input before I spend all these hours reading it

Watch the movie. I think I read the book about 45 years ago. I read Of Mice and Men that was a good book.

Yeah I've read it a couple of times. It's a classic for a reason, really well done.
No where near as much fun as a lot of the other books available these days. Hell, it's not 1940 anymore.

Yeah we had to read it in my english class. I didnt really enjoy it much myself.

I would rather read a book from 1940 over anything published in this century. Can't remember if I read Grapes or not though.

I've read both and seen the movies. Good books and definitely classics but you are right they can get a bit boring as they are more about thoughts and attitudes than action. Depends on you though. Pickwick Papers is also a classic but it is a bear to have to read.
