Hey guys,
Today I went for another hunt in Auckland, New Zealand and it appears quite successful!
The first set is mushrooms I suspect to be subs, and the second set I'm not sure about.
Here are some pics: First set:

zoomed:

zoomed 2:

Second set:

Zoomed 1:

Zoomed 2:

Zoomed 3: Psilocybe weraroa?

Bonus pic: Psilocybe weraroa?

Many thanks
Habitat: Found the first set in wood chips Found the second set in a forest on a bed of rotten wood and leaves
Gills: Varies, see picture
Stem: All appeared solid although the second set of mushrooms (suspected subs) had a more stringy stem when cut
Cap: See pictures
Spore print color: Not spore printedb
Bruising: Blue bruising on the first set, dark unknown bruising on the second set

All look good for subs, apart from those last couple pix you think are Weraroa's, Which they are not.

Thanks Blazer420, ah I wasn't too hopeful so I only picked 2 of them
Even the ones on the plate are subs? They just bruised a dark colour, half grey half orange, so I wasn't sure. They could just be old though, they were found in a different location

I just spore printed the mushrooms in set 2 (on the plate), and they have light brown sporeprints.
However a TI has told me they are subs. Is it possible that they are older subs? Or should I throw them away?
I can post pics of the spore prints if necessary
Many thanks

How long did you leave them printing? You might sometimes need 12 hours to get a reasonably good print.
And yes, please post a picture.

Your prints are light due to the short time, but the color looks purplish. Your mushrooms are definitely P. subaeruginosa.
Don't eat them all at once.

Thanks Anglerfish. Check out this video, it reminds me of your GIF.
The effect seems very trippy when you don't know how its done. The effect at 2:00 looks super buzzy. Actually it's not very complex. Video compression uses a technique where the video only carries information about how the frame changes.
In other words, if you have somebody moving in a certain way with a static background, only the information about how they move is stored in the video file. Since the background doesn't change, the video file does not give any information about the background and the video player just holds the previous frame.
When this is corrupted, you get the effect shown in your GIF and in the video I linked.
Thanks for all your help blazer420 and Anglerfish
