the scatterplot isn't about homicide. It's about gun deaths.

Any form of gun death that isn't a homicide is darwinism.

The second amendment is to defend yourself from a tyrannical government, not for self defense, or even killing.
Don't come crying to me when the government ships all you feminized liberals off to fema concentration camps.

Guns make you macho? Why does a macho man need a gun to defend himself?

When it comes to guns he definitely has a leg up on the pro-gun people. I still don't know how you people don't realize that you only want guns because you want guns. There's no logic to it. You guys should just stop trying to come up with the flimsiest most idiotic arguments and just admit the truth. You guys want guns no matter how many people dies from them. There's no shame in admitting it. Stop trying to show us stats and shit... I know that deep down you fully realize your own arguments makes no sense. You just want the guns because you want the guns and you don't care if accidents or mass shootings happen. I get it. It's like booze. I know it's fucking up my liver, but don't take it away from me.
So yeah just say it. It'll take a weight off your shoulders. It's not illegal to not care about the consequences or the people involved. Guns make tens of thousands of victims a year... I don't care...
Do you even read what Koods posts? He claims it's safer NOT to have a gun when someone breaks into your home? Do you agree with him or not?
Shit... I'm gonna get sucked into the black hole aren't I? Alright then.
If the guy breaks in, you're awake, you hear him, he's unarmed and the law says you can shoot him and the gun is right next to you and you have a clear shot. Sure. You are a million times safer than if you were unarmed.
Not adjust a few parameters in the situation and suddenly you're rolling the dice. Especially if the guy in your house has a gun himself. If you're asleep and his goal is to kill you, you can have a nuke in your pocket and you're fucked. If he's stealing shit, you hear him and sneek up on him, you are safer. But don't miss and absolutely do not give him the opportunity to shoot back cause right then and there shit gets serious. You would prefer be hit b a crowbar than shot.
So my 73 year old mother should just pray that the person who broke into her home doesn't kill her? Koods logic!
Because if she tried to defend herself from potential death, she increased her chances of getting killed, Koods logic!
Get your head out of your ass, because you're not in reality.
Yes it increases her chances of getting killed if she opens fire on him. Hes going to then shoot back. Hes saying if youre going to shoot you better be damn sure youre going to hit them or you just put youself in a gun fight. Thats all he is saying.
Your logic is its better to put your life on the line for what a stolen tv? A coworker of mine made that statement and his defense was when you hear serious gun enthusiasts make their arguments in real life its even worse.
Like patlal said again if the intruder is set on killing you anyway, youre already out of luck and the gun wont help. Unless you can sneak up on them, then things get risky, you miss and he either runs or shoots back. I just dont understand why youd need to shoot at someone because theyre stealing something. My coworker said hed shoot and was making fun of "liberals" and the way theyd handle it. Youre going to put your life in danger for a tv? It doesnt bother you that youre comfortable with killing someone over material things such as a tv??
Burglaries happen when youre gone from home or at night for the most part anyway, because they typically dont want to get caught/not have to use their gun if they have one.
I dont know theres just too many scenarios and its a never ending argument. Im out of here now. I was kind of on the fence about it a few days ago but im starting to lean towards the "liberal" side apparently.
You guys like using that word lol

You cant though because the government eliminated your right to own any weapon that would pose a threat to them decades ago. In effect making your constitutional right to bear arms a bit of a joke.

Yeah you are right, citizens should be able to easily have access to any weapons the military does.
However we don't, but we can own semi auto ak's, ar's, and other battle rifles. Look at afghanistan, even with all the US military technology 20 year old AK's have probably killed more US soldiers than anything else. I think the argument does hold some weight, the military is outnumbered big time compared to the populace.

So if a intruder invades your home you would flush your gun down the toilet because you're afraid that you're a horrible shot and might be killed by the criminal.
Why are you so trusting of a person that breaks into your home that they won't kill you if you don't have a weapon? Are you just going to pray for compassion with Koods and wish the problem away?
I'll take my chances with my gun, you will curl up in a ball and say, "take my TV and please don't kill me because I flushed my gun down the toilet like a good little liberal", good luck with that approach!
