growing in carpeted room

ok, dont laugh at me for this, while i may be laughing at myself lol. but my new grow, for the first time ever, will be in a room that is fully carpeted.
in the past ive always used solid concrete basements or wooden floors. makes cleaning a lot easier, while carpets tend to hold onto a lot more dirt and grime and such...
im using monotubs mainly. will this cause any issues?
literally, im a perfectionist, and this one little difference is getting to me. im also in a new state where things are quite a bit drier, so im sure ill have to get used to that when dialing them in. or maybe it wont matter much, idk.
either way, if there's literally ANY reason that carpet might be detrimental in any way, i WILL remove it! or cover it in a fat layer of plastic..
anyone? :p thanks in advance, this IS a serious question lol.
edit - its very possible this will ALSO be my room for all sterile procedures. in which case maybe i should just line it all in plastic anyway.. again, perfectionist here. i really dont want anything to be off -__-

I've grown in a couple of rooms that were fully carpeted with success. And wow that's a long post for such a simple question.
-------------------- How to get started in bulk: Presto 23-Quart Pressure Cooker BOD's Simple as FUCK Still Air Box PastyWhyte's Easy Agar Tek Munchauzen's Cultivation Video Series How EvilMushroom666 Prepares His Grains (I use jars with Synthetic Filter Discs) What is G2G? (Grain-to-Grain) Damion5050's Coir Tek (I use 5.5 - 6 quarts of water instead of 4. Also ignore step 13 and ignore the monotub completely. The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary) Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful) Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

lol ok im feeling better by the minute. i actually felt so weird/worried about the fact that id be in a carpeted room that when we first moved in, i had my wife pressure steam clean the entire carpet in said room. i then sealed off all the vents and have kept the room completely air tight since moving in. even with our 10 different animals, THAT room has stayed completely empty :p
im anal about these things, and i end up stressing myself over nothing most times. my wife says its the reason why she loves me though so i guess i found the right one haha.

I grew on carpet for 2 and a half years.
Never once attributed a contamination to anything that couldn't be explained by my own technique.
If you're really concerned about it, get it steamed.

I use a carpeted room for all sterile work and growing. The best tip I can offer is to buy a table similar to one pictured below to do all of your work on. You can also keep your monotubs elevated a couple feet off the ground to even further reduce the chance of contamination. I wipe down the white table with 70% alcohol every time before I start to work, also keep off all fans. Once you have fully colonized mycelium however, being sterile doesn't matter so much

wow great advice here, thanks guys. completely over my fears now
i mentioned that i already had my wife steam clean the carpet lol, so maybe that was going a bit too far. but it seems like none of you have had any issues so im ready to build it up!
i WILL keep my mono's elevated as well, good call on that one. hadnt thought to do that but it definitely cant hurt.
as far as the moldy ass basement though....... ew. lol, i wouldnt be able to stomach having my mushrooms down there :p i DO however have an old guesthouse in my backyard. it had a fire a few years back and only 3 rooms remain.. its been completely cleared out and the three rooms that are there ARE stable. but the elements have gotten to it pretty bad.
its un-insulated, and definitely has mold growing in different places. however, it still has power hooked up! a big part of me wants to line THAT whole area in plastic to keep the mold outside the grow area, and then heat it using a space heater or something i have laying around.
i live up in the mountains a ways so it gets mighty cold, especially with no insulation out there. but it never hurts to try right? could be interesting anyway (:

I also grow in a carpeted room with a leaky roof and some black plague looking mold at the point of the leak on the ceiling. Hardly any sterile tek to speak of. If you're worried about stuff coming off the carpet mist it down with spray disinfectant or peroxide water. if its damp or wet you shouldn't be able to throw up contaminates by walking. Just besure you dry it afterwards. I haven't done inoculating work at my grow location yet though. i don't think it should be much of an issue.
