Frankincense for anti-nausea/synergy with psychedelics

Lately I've been using hawaiin baby woodrose, it's an awesome very euphoric high but the nausea can be very intense. I recently got a shipment of some from a botanical site that sends free samples, and with the hbwr I got some powdered frankincense. I had just taken the seeds and was wondering what the powder could be used for and after searching I stumbled on a couple different forums that talked about smoking/insufflating it for mild psychoactive properties. There was a study that had found it to improve depression and anxiety in mice, and another member suggested that some of the terpenes in the fragrant stuff might be responsible for the effects, with potential for good synergy in combo with stronger psychedelics. At the time I was smoking weed to help the nausea, so I decided to sprinkle some of the frank powder on top. The hit itself tasted great and was very smooth. The weed alone had only minimally been helping with the nausea but I was taken aback by how much better my stomach felt after the frankincense. On top of that, it just helped the mental effects so much. I'm prone to getting a bit paranoid while tripping, but it seemed so grounded and filled with clarity after smoking it. Isufflating it yielded the same effect but stronger and faster, and was surprisingly nont at all painful

If light it like some incense. Just like I did when I was working on my construction level in runescape years ago...good times.

OP, frankincense has some opioid-receptor activity, IIRC.

"Ew I wouldn't smoke frankincense"
Yeah that's exactly what I thought, then I tried it and I was like danm that's smooth. Traditionally the middle easterners who used it would inhanle some the incense fumes, they seemed to know about the psychoactive properties too. For a cool documentary look up "frankincense trail"

What was really a big surprise for me was that there was a natural substance with stronger anti-nausea than weed, I didn't think it was possible haha

Very interesting, thanks. The article says it contains mycerene (terpene) which could mean incredible potentiation with weed. The bit about opioids explains another thing I saw about it eventually becoming addictive, probably something to look out for as well
