Habitat: I found It in my backyard in newton MA. It was in the grass, living.
Gills: Brownish to orange
Stem: Stem is a light brown to light orange, about 4in long, relatively thin, it is hollow and soft.
Cap: Around 3in in diameter, spherical and soft. Has a little nipple at the top.
Spore print color: Dark brown to black, I'll post pictures once it is done
Bruising: None that I can see, maybe a little dark brown if any.
Other information: Smells a little bit sweet

compare to Lacrymaria. maybe Lacrymaria lacrymabunda but there is something weird with the resolution or whatever with your pics that is obscuring features for a noob like me.
ETA: there you go

p sure he meant 100's of Lacrymaria near a spot where he finds active mushrooms (actives that don't grow in your area).
and yeah i found 1000's of these near a spot where i find a different active species; Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata (that possibly does grow in your area)

ah, thank you for clarifying. So if I see these it means that there is a strong chance of having an active species nearby?

I think that was the implication but I'm not sure I agree. I tend to think that Lacrymaria just grow all over the friggin place, so they are often found in proximity of actives.

agreed.
there many tons of Lacrymarias out there in habitats that aren't necessarily good for ovoids...it just so happens the largest concentration of ovoids i've found were in an area where i found by far the largest numbers of Lacrymaria. but i'm certainly no expert ovoid collector and have found less than most people who collect them.
probably a simple coincidence.
