Radical Mycology Class in NM
    #23345960 - 06/15/16 04:01 AM (8 years, 1 month ago)

I'm seriously thinking about going to this.

https://radicalmycology.com/events-2/cultivation-courses/nm-2016/?contact-form-id=8005&contact-form-sent=8451&_wpnonce=3c4b221b31#contact-form-8005

I lived in Santa Fe for a couple years and try to make an annual trip out there anyways- I can catch the class during the day and chill with friends at a brewery enjoying live music and damn good food at night.

This guy is interesting- I watched both of his recent Webinars, he's quite bright and knows a great deal more than I do I know I could learn from him, but he also doesn't like agar work. HE DOESNT LIKE AGAR WORK. I love agar work and think it is the cornerstone of mycology. I understand his reasoning, he wants to make mycology more accessible especially to areas in need of food- so LI is the easiest way for them to do it. But what about finding local mushrooms? What about all the contamination risks with LI- precious straw could go to waste in said food insecure areas.

I don't know, it's a little bit expensive, but actually taking a course on mycology with other myconerd seems like a lot of fun. What do y'all think?

It will totally be an awesome time meeting the people that show up to that kind of thing! You might even learn a thing or 2 :-)
