Contamination??

I set these aside a little while ago purely for the speed of their colonization. It just seemed to darn quick to me, and all oh the myc is whispy. That's Pheonix, Pink, and Gold respectively. Look like good myc now that it's at 100%? Pink is looking more like mushroom myc as it seems to consolodate. Sorry for the purple jars, got duped online.

The reflection in the second image made me think you are a potato with legs
Two questions, is that from spores or LC? What is the current water content?

It was agar wedge to grain. The grains were soaked for 24 hours then set to dry some. So no more moisture than fried capacity.

That explains the growth, wondered why it was on the surface the most. For some reason I get thicker growth if it starts at the bottom.
If there is no hydration issue then as Gr0wer said, normal.

A couple more I'm unsure of- the BSOY2 because of its whispy -ness and it coming to solid points, and also because of its speed of colonization.
Now with the other one you can clearly see stronger growth starting at one point while the entire thing appears to be colonized (by something).

Maybe I'm just not used to all these new strains I'm working with and maybe that BSOY2 is just a beast.

See now thats interesting, you also have thicker growth when it starts at the bottom or deep down. However it looks its trying to escape. It could have an issue from reading RR posts.
I don't know tbh.

The left one looks perfectly normal (assuming that the whispier growth colonised later than the denser stuff further up). The other one is rather peculiar, and honestly I don't know. You'd need to get the input of someone more knowledgeable.

Is the BSOY2 a Phoenix Oyster? I have one too from a trade with Tinkid I believe. Haven't fruited it yet though. Let me know how it produces.

Shroomery user Mycelio has been fruiting some from a wedge I sent him and said its doing fairly well- I'd ask him as up until tonight I only ever ran unsuplemented pine. He said its a warm weather fruiter.

Ok here's a couple more- both oddly Pheonix- maybe I'm just not used to how they grow

See- they seem fully colonized- but then the super white takes flight. Dunno what I'm looking at.

I'd wait till its fully consolidated. Once its fully turned into a white block of silicone.
If theres any non consolidated areas, bad smells, slime, and metabolites then its bad. If none of the above its simply nothing to worry about, looks normal.
The glass is against you if you intent to use it as spawn.
