Will Glad Mini Rounds Handle 20 PSI?

I'm gonna use PastyWhyte's plate tek pretty closely.
However, I see that Juiceh wrote that he runs agar at 20 PSI for 35 mins but from other posts it seems he does a pour method.
So, will the mini rounds handle the higher temp at 20 PSI?

You need to much get closer to 300f. There are several types or polypropylene but the commercial kind happens to be on high side of the listed melting point.

Weird. I used my all American on my glad minis at 15 psi and I smelled some plastic burning and noticed most of them shrunk.
Has anyone had a similar experience? I raise them closer to the top by using jars and 2 of those metal spacers. I have the 921 model that I got but doubt it makes a difference.

I have never had this experience. Surely the lids fit a little bit looser the more you PC them but straight up 'shrunk' like, they don't fit anymore?

They still fit just loosely. Ever since that I only PC until it reaches 15 PSI and then just turn it off. No contams yet. The odor is just unpleasant.

Maybe I'll try to play it safe and stick with 15+/- PSI. 15 is in Pasty's tek after all

You really dont need to go much higher than 15 for agar. Ive let mine get up to 20 PSI or higher with no problems, but I try to stick around 15 PSI.
Ive had the lids start to fit loose but it doesnt cause many problems, you can throw a piece of tape to hold it down if you're worried about ot getting knock off accidentally in storage
Just bring the PC up to temp slowly... the slower you go, the less condensation it seems

Whenever I get too much condensation I just give them little shake until the water falls to the bottom and then when I turn them upside before I inoculate the excess condensation falls out

I like the loose lids, much easier to work with. I hate using new ones before they are "broke in", hard to open in the SAB. I like how when they are loose you can hold and open them with the same hand.

How high have you 2 gone, and for how long? 300F is 52psi. And were they the glad mini rounds the OP is talking about.
I have had 10ml BD syringes deform at 20psi, I have had 60ml ones deform at 15psi. I have deformation of other PP5 dishes at 20psi.

Good point, I've had the lid of my Cjar at 60psi for a straight hour once. But the lid is like 3/4" thick PP5, After several various cycles, it looked slightly concave so I reversed the lid, and stopped going so high, for several reasons. Sometimes I forget and let syringes go over 15-20psi and the plastic thats apart of the needle melts but the syringes have not deformed. I've melted a small rubbermaid twist top sitting on top of the cjar but that was at an extreme temps again. It didn't turn into apuddle but it like fell down...on itself, lol. Thickness is going to affect integrity. I also have melted a quart plastic twist top at ~15psi. It was the only thing in the pc too, it melted like into a puddle shrug: I was thinking in most cases 15-20psi is fine for all pp5 and that my instance was user error like I probably had the flame on too high?

My syringes warp as well in the PC. The ones with the rubber plunger will end up all cracked and the ones with a plastic plunger will become loose and the solution will end up behind it. I use boiling water to sterilize my syringes now. Kind of annoying but I don't use syringes very often.
I've had a problem with my agar pp5's as well. The lids stack tightly and the heat and pressure softens them up enough for the lips of the lids to take the shape of the one below it. I need to use toilet paper or foil to seperate them for the not to happen.

My modified minis are probably overkill, but all I have right now for propagation are spore syringes, so hopefully handling won't be a problem until it is time to harvest some mycelium!

Update:
I tried to stay on the conservative side but I didn't consider the low thermal mass of my minis. It peaked out at 19(ish) PSI before I got it to decrease. I ran them for about 32 minutes at 15-19, mostly at 15.
I noticed no plastic smells and there was no discernible visual difference in the plastic containers. They looked and smelled as if nothing happened. I cannot say if the lids changed size as, having injection ports, I did not need to remove them at this time. I will feel safe running them up to 20 PSI +/- in the future.
I did elevate my minis significantly away from the bottom using an AA wire rack that I bought plus the level spacers that come with the AA 930. I also tightly wrapped them individually in *heavy* foil all the way around like in Pasty's tek. Maybe these two measures protected them from the problems mentioned by others.
