Liberty Caps in Canterbury?

I feel I've got my sub hunting technique at a proficient level, and whilst I semi-regularly hunt for weraroa (entirely without luck so far, I'm afraid), I'm also thinking of branching out and having a look for some liberty caps too. Are there any confirmed findings of them in the greater Christchurch area?
I understand they grow at higher altitudes and also 'sedges', so had thought to check out some hill areas (sheep graze there mostly). Waste of time, or worth a shot?

I don't think it is a waste of time, John W. Allen claimed he found Psilocybe Semilanceata as far south as Dunedin.

I've found Liberty caps in Dunedin, so have a few people that post on here!

The ones I found in Dunners were in Ravensbourne. So you don't need to get to super high altitudes.

What kind of grassy fields? Just.. anywhere? Old human habitats or farms or just open grassland?

Awesome feedback thanks all. Because I'm really enjoying just being out in nature (getting in at least an hour a day) I thought I'd broaden the types of places I'm going. I had thought of checking out parts of the Port Hills (hope that's vague enough, that covers a large area ).
I will keep you all posted!
