Storing unused petri dishes - sterility?

I recently bought some 3-sectioned petri dishes, and this weekend I would like to try my hand at transferring from some Pasty plates to the petri dishes.
The bag they all came in states that they are sterile as long as the packaging is closed. The bag consists of 25 petri dishes, each with 3 sections. I would prefer to only use, say, 10 of them right now, and isolate down until I have a great pure sample and can use it to transfer to grain.
If I opened the package and used 10 of the dishes, does this mean when I close the package and store the other 15 away, they are compromised and cannot be trusted for sterility? Do I need to use all 25 plates right now, thus making 75 samples? (I'd never find the time to transfer all of those to grain, so I'd be stuck sitting with a bunch of dishes with beautiful mycelium I couldn't think of a way to use.)

I've personally left pasty plates out for a month just tossed in a drawer (completely forgot about them) before I finally used them and they're doing fine. Also was told before that if I wanted to keep my plates stored for several months then I should put them in the fridge and just make sure they're room temperature when I wanted to use them.

(Grain-to-Grain) Damion5050's Coir Tek (I use 5.5 - 6 quarts of water instead of 4. Also ignore step 13 and ignore the monotub completely. The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary) Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful) Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

Open the bag in your sab and youll be fine to just twist it closed again and store it on the shelf. I do this all the time and i haven't had a dirty pour since i've been doing pour agar

If the plates are closed, lid on, like they should be they will be fine. Store in a baggie or even in the original bag, and when you go to use them, give them each a good wipe down with alcohol and a paper towel before putting into your sab and again everytime before you open them.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I think I'm gonna try using 15 of the dishes, and storing the other 10 for a later date to see how they do the next time I make a transfer. Since I'm still very new to working with Agar, I'm gonna try transferring the growing mycelium from the pasty plate to the petri dishes, use them to transfer to grain, then try my hand at cloning the best-looking one in the first flush of the batch. I'm really excited to see these AA+ grow; all the pics I've seen look like they grow into very beautiful mushrooms!

The issue you will run into a 500ml batch of agar will pour a whole sleeve. You will need to make a small batch.
