OOooh Damn Garlic...
    #2332432 - 02/13/04 09:07 PM (20 years, 2 months ago)

I just made a batch of Trader Joes Garlic Fries..

Recipe says to make the fries first... 425 degrees for 22 minutes. While the fries cook theirs this little packet of seasoning that you defrost in a bowl and add to the fries when their done...

So I opened the packet of garlic, butter and greens.. Dumped it on the frys and began to stir it all up. then it hit me...

DAMN if this isnt the strongest garlic Ive ever had in my life.. It makes my eyes water, my whole house smells like garlic and its been an hour now and just walking around makes me dizy from the smell...

This is just CRAZY... Words cant describe just how hardcore this garlic smell, feeling is. It almost hurts to breath inside here.

I have some Gordon Biersch garlic fries I bought at the local bulk wherehouse store.  Exactly the same as you describe.  It's good stuff, but only in moderation :smirk:

Hehe, well if its that strong now, it should calm down a bit after its cooked....

Raw garlic can be worse than hot peppers... Cooked garlic though is nice and tasty...

For fun take some raw garlic cloves, mince them up, and dare someone to eat a spoonful.. "Come on, its only garlic you wuss.."

The only thing better is convincing someone that Wasabi is toothpaste

Hehe, "What's that green stuff next to my sushi?"  "Oh, that's just green mint sauce, it's really good."  "Ok! (sucker)"

I tried those today.  The fries cooked better than any other frozen fries I've tried.  The garlic was strong and made the fries soggy.  When I took a drink of coke my mouth burned like hell.

REAL garlic bread is easy to make.

Simply get oven-roasted garlic and spread it on some toasted seasoned sour dough bread.
