Substrate colonization
    #23343651 - 06/14/16 02:31 PM (7 years, 7 months ago)

Hi. I have a couple of grow bags with straw as substrate.
Two of them does not look fully colonized(I can barely see mycelium) but they are fruiting.(pink and white oysters)

The other bag is almost completely colonized  (I can barely see straw) but it hasn't pinned yet.(blue oysters)

Is this normal? They are all exposed to the same conditions. This is my first go at growing mushrooms.

Thanks

Pinks fruit when they are barely 100% blues need to get 100% then consolidate and get dense white for another week before inducing pinning.
