Does how coarse/fine your verm is effect the relative ratios when mixing the substrate?

The reason i ask this is because the verm in the finer jar is more dense where as the coarser verm takes up more room in the jar, so was wondering if this effects the ratios when mixing the substrate.

Thanks.

It can. I find a medium grade verm to work best but in place of that, use fine grade. I believe the default ratio is intended for something between medium and fine. Coarse is very big and is usually not used for cakes.

Use the fine one or mix the two together a little, the coarse one doesn't even look all that coarse, a little variety in size won't hurt.

i use what looks more like the pic of the coarse verm. but the amount you will use will be the same, either way, pretty much. you dont need to have amounts EXACT, anyways.
