Mycelium Residue

I had some mycelium residue in my jars after the first spawn. I have cleaned the jars and lids with hot soapy water. Do you think next spawn will be affected by it? I don't have anything to scrub the inside with and don't want to PC jars empty.
Here are some Pics.

Were any jars contaminated? I don't think you have to worry unless there was contamination.

No, they were not, Any time I get contaminated jars I toss them. Not worth the risk of opening them. Thanks for the reply though.

Yes just because of the powder of contaims that come out when I open them, they get on your clothes if you do them outside and follows you in to your grow space, and inside well. Its game over. I am just getting back into the swing of things and thats what happened last time.

I just pressure can mine without opening them, then dump 'em. If your going to open it tho, I've heard of people doing it under water to minimize the spread of the nastys.

It does in theory... But the fucking smell is foul... I just open contaminated jars inside a trashbag outside.

If properly PC'd, I believe the mold/contamination gets killed. I've never had a problem doing it.

ive heard different things about this. Im not sure if it actually "kills" it all, or what. i mean, you would think it does kill it all, but again, im not completely certain.

Yea, just gotta be careful with it. OP, unless you wanna keep buying jars, I'd just PC contaminated ones and reuse. Last time, I PC contaminated jars and then dumped them in open air. Haven't had a contamination since, and I didn't even notice any foul smells.

I never really get mold in my spawn jars, just bacteria typically, so I always just dump mine right in the trash then take it out because I don't give a shit. Not about to be buying jars all the time..

I've never PCd any contaminations.. I dump it outside and I obviously get covered in contamination spores. I've had forgotten tubs left in my basement with the furnace kicking on a lot that looked like this for months
And I can still grow just fine. Just gotta be hella ocd with spawn. Luckily thanks to me being ocd I can ID spawn contams pretty damn good.
As long as your filters keep shit out and you do your inoculation with sterility inside a SAB, you really don't have much to worry about.

You PC empty jars? What does that do that doesn't happen when the grains get PC'd inside them? That is like.. a ton of wasted electricity and time.
