FIRST TIMER ID REQUEST - WEST AUCKLAND, NZ

Habitat: Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.
Found these in some grass in an area many people recommend to go hunting (seeming it's a 5 min walk from my place I checked it out on the way home)
Gills: Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
Sorry but I'm not too good at describing these, so refer to pictures
Stem: Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
3-6cm white/creamy but bruised heavily as soon as they were picked, even more so by the time I got home. Think they're hollow too, they split when i squeezed them to check bruosing
Cap: Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
2-3cm diameter, gold with slightly less gold center,
Spore print color: spore print in progress now, will post later Very important!
Bruising: Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.
dark blueish/brown bruising. I've heard that there's no "bluish" and if it's blue I'll know, so just looking for confirmation..
Other information: Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.
Didn't pick enough to trip, just enough for a good ID, hoping to go back tomorrow and get the rest if they're subs (if they're still there that is)
Here's pictures, let me know if they're any specific shots I'm missing

Since the pictures were taken about 10 minutes ago the bruising has gone from what you see to a very dark black/blue up the whole stems, caps are lightly bruising around the rims also. Is it a jet black spore print I'm looking for?

Psilocybe subaeruginosa. You're looking for a Purply-Brown spore print. More on the purple side.

So I should go get some more or wait for the spore print?

Go get more. The ones you have are defintely them. Spore printing is still a good idea. It will help you learn.

went to the same spot and picked a few, left the smaller ones to get bigger for another time. These ones I've come back with are a bit of a different colour, but i'm hoping the discolouration is from age and not being a different mushroom, haha/ Wasn't very patient with the spore print but after checking it now it's definitely a purple/brown, now currently spore printing the newer ones I'm not too sure about, hoping for the best cause this will be my first successful hunt. What do you reckon of these? Cheers for your help btw
On the last pic, the confirmed ones are lined up at the bottom right, the ones that (I think) are the same are above them on the same side of the glass, and these other ones I'm not sure about are on the opposite side of the glass.

The term is hygrophanous, and refers to the colour change caused by the mushroom cells losing water. Those also look like Psilocybe subaeruginosa.

Yes. It's sort of an age thing, but mostly a water content thing. Some mushroom's caps change colour according to the amount of water in them. The term is called Hygrophanous. The caps get lighter as the they dry out. Your caps are lighter because of this phenomenon.
Your latest pickings are all P. subaeruginosa. Spore print them for good measure though.
Nice to see the Westside representing on the boards. Chur!

mean as, cheers for the help man, will spore print the rest to make sure. I've never picked my own before, or eaten them fresh, always had them dried between 2.5-3 grams, I gather drying them loses potency though, so roughly how much should i use fresh to make a tea? Do I have enough to bother with tea or should I just munch em? If so, how much do I munch?

Dried mushrooms lose about 90% of their weight in water. So, 2.5g dried would equal about 25g wet. They lose a little potency but not that much in my experience.
You can make a tea with those. I'd start at 25-30 grams wet if that's what you're used to. I always throw one extra mushroom in "for the pot". Like one does when brewing a normal pot of tea.
