What to do about changed morals/philosophy

Pretty much everytime I have mushies, I develop a stronger and stronger disgust for the state of our society. About the power of the government, about money/materialism, and about the people around me (even myself) who are part of this whole thing.

I have a vision in my mind of what kind of world I'd prefer to be living in, and on shrooms I feel like i'm partway to that reality, just by the nature of my behaviour when i'm tripping.

I realise there is very little I can do to make the world all nice like my shroomy eutopia. The best I think I could do is to write a story about what I imagine, to somehow communicate the way I feel to other people.

The thing is, I feel like I make a choice every morning when I wake up to conform to this civilisation's rules and customs, or live my own existence the way I see fit.

Has anyone pondered about this sort of thing before?

I think i know exactly how you feel. The first time i did shrooms, i imagined, or remembered this thought i had about a beautiful world, a utopia of people together. I saw it in my reflection... in the weed pipe. Adaptation with striving to get to that place. Thats what ive been trying to do  :thumbup: . Your not the only one...!

ugh.. utopia makes my skin crawl. Damn the Disney coporation and all of TV for tricking us into thinking life has something to do with being really happy all the time. I inspire myself with daoism.. getting into whatever is going on. The weather's a good place to start, because it doesn't take much to get to a point of appreciating all of it the "good" and the "bad."

Remember, it's not society's fault that you are unhappy with it. I find the degree of fucked-upedness in the world really interesting and sometimes humorous. This doesn't mean I don't want to change anything, it just means I don't spend time being frustrated and unhappy with the world and my life.

I think changing yourself is the best thing. Its hard in this society, but mostly possible if you expend alot of energy towards that point.

Daoism comes from a society that unfortunatly wanted control over its people. So the best way is to have a religion that makes the people sedentary, or that makes them just accept what is going on.

We are not going to spend our lives being unhappy with the world. I plan to change it to my view of how things should really be. Things can always have more love in them.
