hehe just here and there for fun. nothing crazy. doing a couple cube tubs to revise my peat TEK a little and hopefully make it easier for people, add some more exact measurements for buffers (i think this is important for newer growers, they get stuck on "exact" everything), just to make it a little more accessible for those who want to give it a try.
but after I cross my t's and dot my i's, ill just be living vicariously thru u guys.

yeah, WOW! that is an amazing cake! i can only hope mine come out like that, this time. last time, they mostly would stay to one side of the cake each flush. they would grow plentiful and hardy, but not all over the cake, like that. i could only imagine how much better the cake would have done if it grew from all sides like that. good job

Do pans get larger in later flushes as well? Pans are awfully small, would be nice to get an above average sized harvest.

With a large pinset you should try bottom watering once they grow a bit. The sub still has enough nutes to give out large shrooms if the genetics allow that. It's the water that will set you back with large pinsets. Bottom watering takes care of that easily.
How do I bottom water? Yes, I definitely did not expect a large pinset and worried about the nutrients. Is there any sure way to tell how often I bottom water? I usually just mist my grows, never tried bottom watering before.

Once should be enough. You don't have to worry about nutrients. Just think of how many flushes a sub can give. The only difference with a large pinset is that you would be getting the amount of 2 flushes in 1. It will definitely have enough to grow those shroom to maturity.
You bottom water by putting your cake on a saucer filled with water so only the bottom of the sub is touching it. If the sub needs it, you will notice that the water gets absorbed. If it absorbs all of it, add more water and if it doesn't after a few hours, remove the cake and put it back in the FC. If you are fruiting invitro you can just pour some water inside your container instead of taking it out and putting it in a saucer. Just remember to remove the water that doesn't get absorbed after a few hours.

That's pretty rad. The shroom is lucky you use pasteyplates and not Petri dishes.
How old is that plate?

Just pour a little water down the side of the cup. Use your judgement about how much, don't drown it or nothing.

Oh don't worry, they will grow in every type of container. The ones that grow in plates will usually hit the lid, go sideways, hit the side, turn to another side and keep growing, sometimes pressed against the side so they become slightly curved. It's actually quite funny.
