Pleurotus cystidiosus Luis strain grow, had the culture for a few weeks now and its just going into fruiting. Chamber temps are a bit low being in the 70s.

yea.. this guy did a straw run then realized afterwards i was all out of poly tube. So these got XL bags stuffed to the top.

First flush 1/2 lb 1 bag temps low 70s

Daym, they really like the soybean hulls/fuel pellets!! 2lbs+ per 10 lb block. I made totems and cut holes for fruits but these grow really strong invitro. The pins that were formed at the tops of the bags were bursting out inside the bag so i made a slit along the exposed front of the bags. This gave me nice long 2 lb clusters.
I think 100% BE is easy with this strain if i get a decent 2+3rd flush

10 lbs total almost, really dense! 7 lbs comfortably fills a bin 5 lbs of oysters get crammed into.

I would be willing to work out a trade if the result are good. I also have a few bags on soybean hulls.

well there not quite 100% yet. But with a 50% BE on first flush it should be attainable.

fungal? lol i only ate em fresh. They have good texture, almost as good as king oysters, and a nice complex mushroomy flavor. I saved a lb to cook up my self. Ill saute some and batter and fry some to see how they turn out. I gave some to some top chefs in town, waiting to hear a response.

Can't wait til I can start supplying local badass chefs. Eventually I want to own my own restaurant and I want to have a vegan option of every dish where I sub in mushrooms sourced from my house
I want it so bad! Stupid finances.

seems .5-.9 lbs is normal for first flush on 5 lb bags with two holes cut in the front, while .9 is the most i got off a 10 lb bag with 1" V holes. The best bags were the 10 lb bags i cut the long slits for the invitro top pins to grow but i didn't try with any 5 lb bags. Seems the best way to cultivate might be allow some 5 lb bags to invitro pin then move to grow chamber and make the slit along the pins at the top. The bags i moved into the chamber earlier, before 100% colonization and pins, gave me much better manipulated fruits out the poked holes but the flushes weren't as large by total weight but the mushrooms were much larger individually.
Fruit quality seems A+ storage should be 2 weeks easy, real similar to kings but a bit easier to break, sort of like golden oysters but not nearly as thin or fragile.
More to report with later harvests.
