also, try not to make multiple threads about the same thing.. and then link to them saying you got different answers. just keep one thread for similar questions regarding the same thing.
not sure if anyone said this, but those look like they are AA+, not GT. but also, they do look kinda weird. i sincerely hope you dont have vert, and i have never dealt with it, so i wouldnt know. but they doo look kinda off. but from pics i have seen before of it, it does kinda seem like those might have it, the way they are peeling like that.
EDIT - And ewwww! what is up with the spots wehre you harvested:

are those shrooms like incredibly hollow? with literally only millimeters of stem material? and if not, it still looks really fucked up where you harvested those.. like... idk. just not right haha. maybe that is a sign of vert?

You would know that I said this in the first reply to one of his threads if he kept them together.

To be fair I told him I don't know much about vert since I haven't had it and his first thread wasn't nondescript, so it makes sense that he would.

Yeah sorry for that. I have now updated all the images, in the thread where you can see the shrooms. That i will continue with, for this thread. And yes, i also believe this is Albino A+ (or milky way?) but for sure I dont know how to get rid of this.
And yes, I feel they are a bit hollow, and now when some of them are dry, they are shrinking in size - ALOT! So i dont think there is much power in the shrooms though.
I have written to the supplier, cause this is not what I have ordered in the first place. I want golden teacher!!!
But can I do something to prevent this in the future? How much humidity is there needed in the container? Cause i will get a hygrometer if that is needed in the future. So this wont happen again. I use to have temperatures like 20-25, but last week, it was 32 degrees Celsius.
And when i started (3 weeks ago) i also notice that in the bed of the container, there was a big cap between the container, and the edge of the fungus material. Almost 1-2 centimeter. Is that causing any problems?
Also, do any of you know what I can do with the mushrooms? Can i eat them? Some refer me to make tea out of all of them. Some say throw it out? And depending on the answers from the supplier, I think i will throw all the grow box in the garbage container! Cause I dont want any contamination elsewhere.
EDIT: I have just updated the thread in the start. Hope this will help.

well mushrooms do shrink in size when dry. that is normal. they are like 90% water. but i woul suggest not getting the hygrometer and just making a proper SGFC. you dont need to buy any extra crap that is useless.
also, make you own jars and do everything DIY. it is super easy and gives way better results. also, get into Ager soon. it will help a lot. and is way easier than it sounds.

Inocuole said: Well if you're going to make tea out of them anyway then I suppose it won't matter if you get them all the way dry. Make sure to boil them... Really though.. blowing a fan on them is probably blowing tiny mold mycelium fragments all over the place. Do not under any circumstance mist the mycelium or the fruits, as that will bounce spores around everywhere. This won't harm you but it can recur in future grows if left unchecked.
I'd wait for someone with more experience with verticillium, I haven't had it.
Okay :S Do I have to boil them at 80 celcius? Or at boiling point? Hmmm... Okay. I have just started a new thread. I'm worried about what do to, and for future bashes on this growbox
See this thread: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=23300009
Boiling point is hot enough. If you go overboard you can damage some of the psilocin and psilocibin. If you've eaten vetetables, youve eaten green mold/green mold spores before. just make sure to spray some lysol around your fruiting area and clean your fruiting chamber out with a bleach/water solution and you'll be fine. I think next time you should add some more fresh air to your fruiting chamber.
Okay. But okay. I will have to try to make tea out of the fungus. Damn But what is lysol? I can see on Google Search that is something for desicinfition. But what is it excatly? Dont think we have lysol here in denmark.
And how do I clean the chamber? Do I need to place bleach and water IN the container where the funges is spreading up from?
And I'm very confused, cause in this thread, there is more answers to me, that I have giving it to much fresh air? See this: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=23302459
I'm not exactly sure of your setup but if you were giving it too much fresh air you would have a problem with your substrate getting too dry. In my experience you are more likely to get mold if you have too much humidity and not enough air flow.
Lysol is a disinfectant here is the states, it kills 99.9% of germs, bacteria, etc and spraying it in your grow room will kill a lot of the mold spores that may have accumulated there.
You can clean the tub by using a mixture of 1 part bleach to 10 parts water. You just have to wipe it down with the solution and then clean it well with water.

You should probably have a reptile hygrometer in your tub if you are still learning your setup. They are cheap, find them at the pet store. Just remember to calibrate it!
You want ~95%+ humidity while fruiting.

No. Just... no. That won't tell you anything. A fluctuating humidity that drops into the 80-90%s is preferable and exactly what happens in a properly constructed SGFC. If you take care of the chamber correctly, the numbers won't matter. Evaporation is a primary pinning trigger, constant 95%+ humidity is a bad thing and was the downfall of fruiting chambers for years before people stopped overcomplicating things. What would you do if the gauge read low anyway, other than mist more?
If you want something to look at to tell you if you're doing okay, look at the mycelium. This is a little beside the point in a thread about verticillium though..

 this is 100% vert
not to mention all the fruits are very obviously decaying and have stopped growing. I bet in 24 hours all the fruits would have been pealing. it looks like a pretty bad contamination, tbh.

Yes. But these shrink alot I think. And fast. Like they have nothing inside. And they cracks in the stem.
Okay. I will try to look at the page to setup a proper SGFC soon. Thanks for the link. I haven't look trough it all, do you also know if there is a way of dehydrating after harvest? Cause I have looked trough this video, and thought this might be a better and faster way of drying my fruits. How to Build a Home Dehydrator for Under $20 - Do you think this is good?
Also again, thanks for the Ager link. Gotta get into my own setup soon. But for now, I kinna stick to the All-in one Growbox, with all the spores included. Also right now I think the supplier will send me a new batch. Cause they are NOT Golden Teacher, which I have ordered.
But yes. I have thought of making a setup, so I can easy grow more, in a more clean environment of my own choice. I don't like when i spray onto the bag which i have to do everyday when i'm using this All-in one Growbox.
Thanks again!

for the love of your mushrooms, no do not build that. do not go cheap on drying your fruits. anything less than full dehydration will result in rotten, ruined fruits. don't skip at this phase, whatever you do. just buy a real dehydrator.
this one at walmart is $25 and goes on sale every other month for $15.

Thanks for that information. That was really helpful for me. I will dig into it together with all the other links. My friend was telling me that in the states you use alot of bleach. But here in Denmark it's different. Gotta dig into it. Thanks!

i mean.. it is likely you will get similar results with the same product. they are kinda a crap shoot. some work ok, some end up shit. but its your choice. you would spend less money if you DIY, and would have lot's more to show for it. especially since they can turn out like these did.
but yeah, they did seem really hollow, and strange. not sure if that is a part of the vert, or just the way those were..
but yeah.. if you stick with those grow-boxes you can really expect much better than you got. just my opinion.
but yeah, get a real dehydrator. they are cheap and work really well, and wont lead to rotten fruits.
but yeah, even if you stay with the kit, it would probably do better by taking it out of the bag when fully colonized and putting it into a SGFC. but honestly, you will spend less money and get far more yield(and healthy mushrooms instead of nasty-looking ones) if you DIY. but again, your choice. and just to let you know, i live in a place with my gf and my two cats, so it isnt the cleanest place. even the cleanest houses still have millions of bacteria and contams in the air and stuff, so that isnt as big of a deal. thats why we use SABs for agar and inoculations and stuff. because when your sub is 100% colonized is is highly contam resistant at that point, which is why we dont have to fruit them in sterile conditions.

Too bad that information was bad. Lysol really doesn't kill a whole lot in the way of mold spores. If it did, when a house got black mold, people would just spray lysol instead of moving out.

Okay. I will consider if a new chamber is the right way next time. I have also thought about making my own, cause I want it perfect, and without contamination. So thank you for the explanition. And I will also get a real dehydrator
Thanks alot again. I hope the supplier will handle me a new batch, so I can get some Golden Teacher - instead of these Albino's or Milky Way (dont like i dont know what this is!)
