FIND PORN STAR!?

After being logged on to the shroomery for about 20 min or so, the page will automatically redirect itself to a "Find Porn Star" page.
Is this a personal [computer] issue or is there something wrong with The Shroomery.
Probably some kind of spyware thingy.

Probably spyware, but just to be on the safe side, please PM me the last 2-3 threads you were looking at before it happens again...

Yeah, I've had some problems with spyware in the past too. It is usually pretty easy to remove it all though. Deep, try downloading spybot . This program is free I think, and it should scan your pc and delete any spyware.
Also, another thing you can do that will eliminate a bunch of popups is to de-activate windows messanger. You do this by using the system configuration utility. Go to the start menu, click on run, and then type msconfig. This should open up the config utility. Then you click on the services tab and find windows messanger to stop it from running. You don't need this program at all and the only thing it has ever done for me is give me a bunch of popups. Anyways, if you need any help with this just PM me or something.

Download and install Spybot. I've used it a few times, but found it pointless. The best method of preventing installation of spyware on your system is just watch what programs you install and never click yes on any popup microsoft security windows in IE unless they're signed from a trustable source. I've never had spybot on my system, and if you inspect what you install, you will never have any adware problems.

Spybot and Adware, those two take care of most anything.

adaware is good, but watch out for adaware.com... the site spoofs adaware and installs... you guessed it, more spyware...

down load adware or a similiar program. if you are running a P2P file sharing program thats more than likely what banging your ass. run the programs and have it delete anything you dont know. the other stuff just do a search on it in yahoo or something and find out how to remove it from the Windows registery. Careful when you delete shit because some of the programs (P2P) wont work if you delete their lovely preinstalled ad tracking stuff. then you get to spend another 20 minutes unistalling and reinstalling. YAHHOOOO!!!!!
