i enjoy pondering the results of fluency in solresol

http://www.ptialaska.net/~srice/solresol/sorsoeng.htm

musical notes have their corresponding colors, everything is babel.

probably the best conlanguage, but i think we would all end up insane if it became our main language.

hi sakura
you could wear clothes colored to say 'i'm fuggen pissed off'
problem is it could get confusing if someone just put old some ol' clothes without thinking....but the weave and coloring of the fabric says 'leper'.

However universal music may be, not everyone can sing as well as anyone else, and being dependant on synthetic sound reproduction would be silly, IMO. I haven't looked at it long, but if there isn't a logical relation between the syllables and the words ('do' must mean everything in the same context, and do's meaning must be derived logically from the sound), it isn't any beter than, say, hieroglyphics or sign language.

you could just hum it. :ooo:
its really just an expansion of sign language, its aim is to be a common language but not a universal one. the problem is it uses  physical phenomena as its carrier - sound and colors
i don't think it would be a useful language to learn, especially if nobody else does.

Try humming a tune when you're tonedeaf

I'm confused, wouldn't a common language be a universal language? Not trying to be a smartass, I'm trying to see where you're coming from.
