Opiates changed for me. They became a source of fear and torment. There was no dragon to chase. Maybe brain damage or some other enlightenment.
Find another source of growth and share something healthy. I know the hook can be deep with opiates. It's one of the more shallow drugs I've taken. All the opium dreams because the worst nightmares. Just hope it works if I really need a painkiller in the future.

i still love em, i never wont hahahaha
just fuck the actual smack and pill scene, anyone who is involved with that has zero clue whats really up with junk. shit they dont even call it junk anymore....
how many times have i taken a shot or drank a tea or sniffed a pill with someone and asked them if they knew why it was called junk, not once did any of them ever know. not that that really matters in the scheme of things but i think you can avoid a lot of the troubles opiates bring by understanding them to the best of your capacity.
opiates dont treat the mind the way substances like alcohol or benzos or amphetamines or cocaine or those types of things do, opiates just remove pain.

opiates are subtle. it can be hard to tell if you're feeling them.
but that slight improvement of everything is what gets people hooked.
there's nothing to hate about opiates. but there's a lot to love about life. you'll lose a lot to opiates. it's a fact. just money and time wasted.

I convinced my friends dad to switch from methadone to kratom. It's a big step in the right direction for him but he's not doing it by choice cause they're making him dose in front of them and his girlfriend is dependent on takehome pills.

Jesus man did you not use fresh rigs or not rotate spots? Even after year long binges I could always heal up mostly in like a month. I'm pale tho so scars don't show well, and I have a horse's circulatory system so I always had plenty of options.
In any case that's awesome. Huge step and you should keep it up. I'll be a year myself in August, so 8 months I guess. Not my record clean time, but I feel much better than I ever did.
For me what really helped is having work that I enjoy, staying close to family, and an awesome girlfriend. If all three of those things disappeared I would probably be fucked. I'm not like insanely happy or anything, I'm getting fatter and balder and not doing as many creative things as I would like, but after suffering for so many years to no end it's as good as my life has ever been.
We all deserve a break, but that's it. Seeking euphoria on demand is asking too much, so be wary of the temptation.

I mean I was a heroin/cocaine addict for a long time. I beat the fuck of of my inner elbows, but somehow I don't have tracks. I have good veins tho I know that helps, as well as my dope being usually good and only using rigs a few times each.

I really fucked up when I started using rigs. Destroying all usable veins, and reusing needles for weeks. My arms and hands are still covered in scar tissue, although there isn't really visible skin marks for the most part. I'm just now seeing a couple old veins but they are buried way under scar tissue and look fucked up. And I stopped using needles over 4 years ago I think.

Haven't shot in over a year. My right hand is the worst. Surprisingly though scarred, veins still pop out like crazy when I work out.
Used to bum me out now idgaf. Hey could be worse, I know a guy who lost his arm...

so im giving a kratom taper another try, im doing 4g about every 12 hours or so, been doing that for a few days now, so far so good
gonna stick with that for the rest of the week and see how i feel on monday and maybe by the end of next week i can try to step it down to 3.5g, im gonna wait till i run out of the strain im doing right now (white meang da) before i try to step down
for those of you who do kratom how much do you guys take per dose or per day?

I never measured in grams but I found it pretty easy to get to 2 teaspoons or so
Just take your time with it after that and the kick isn't so bad. Like there is no horrible withdrawal IMO other than moderate insomnia
You're doing great man keep it up

i made it 11 weeks now guys!!!!
almost to 3 months can you fucking believe it????
fuckin killin this shit and not even thinking about the needle or the dope man, fuck that shit entirely
i also still havent bought my own seeds since i first quit H so minus the first lil bit of my kick i havent been doing poppy tea cept once in a while in a small dose
i am going to buy 5-10lbs sometime soon but i really dont want that to completely ruin kratom for me, im finally at the point where ive worked my way to having a much lower kratom tolerance and as a result barely any tolerance to real opiates
this the part where i need to start being REALLY careful because if/when i do do poppy tea or pills its gonna be really really fucking good and that might present a challenge but its nothing i cant handle
the good thing about me is that when i do poppy tea i only do a moderate dose, my friends do a fucking massive dose and legit get knocked the fuck out for 12-18 hours and its scary as fuck
sometimes they are legit on the verge of death barely breathing unconscious for hours, like seriously if they did any more they would OD and die
i do about a third of the amount they do and still catch a good nod but im actually fucking awake to enjoy it

Well if you're trying to stretch out that kratom, maybe try akuamma cause it works super well for withdrawal while keeping your kratom tolerance and dependence low.

Yeah man they work alright and are pretty strong you only need like 3-4 seeds a day with your tolerance to stay well and they do last a bit longer than kratom; 6 hours. The high is somewhere between kratom and codiene.
