Reminds me of the time Damion5050 kicked a guy out of his coir tek thread because the guy wouldn't shut up about thinking his whole colonized substrate was perlite.  Damion was like "For the last time there's no perlite anywhere in any of these pictures, now fuck off!"

The trick is to cut out the inside of one of the rings of your dehydrator so you can fit large fruits without smooshing them. You can lift up the ring above them up with something too if you dont want to cut it  but it wil take longer to dry that way.

Can't believe how long it felt like I was the only one who recommended that.  Specifically, rather than trying to cut the plastic, lay it on carpet and beat the center out with a hammer and it'll be good to go in no time.  A little easier to pick up after than plastic shavings, assuming you'd use some kind of saw to cut it.

I think I have one double wide chamber, a single wide chamber, and a triple wide chamber, to dry various sizes of mushrooms as efficiently as possible.

Or you can cut rings from a 5 gallon bucket and use them as spacers

And those seal perfectly and have the little ledge just like the dehydrator, so they don't drastically reduce efficiency by leaking air?  Or... what compensates for that?

Tight enough, I wouldn't say drastically reduces efficiency by any means. Imo it's better cutting your trays to acomodate larger fruits

Well, even if I just use one of the trays that comes with it and flip it upside down so they're not stacking in the exact way they intended, the seal is insanely compromised.  So, you're saying a bucket can do better than that?

Should I not include information based on actual experiences I've had with slight variations in the sealing of the dehydrator trays so you don't have to feel like we're arguing?
